Third Floor Common Room, Sunday Afternoon
Belle had considered reading outside today but on her way outside she'd run into someone delivering a very large lunch order who had handed it off to her with a "oh, it's already paid for and it's just for the dorms so I guess it's yours now bye!"
So instead of going outdoors she'd headed back up the stairs to her common room and opened the bags to find a rather large quantity of tomato soup and several grilled cheese sandwiches. Naturally she needed to fix herself a bowl of the soup and bring it to the table with a sandwich.
She only hoped that someone else might come by to help her eat all of this food.
[Open common room is open, come have some cheesy goodness!]

"Oh, hey, Belle! Is all this soup and sandwiches yours?"

Please save her from making a terrible but deliciously cheesy mistake, Graham.

Graham's face lit up, with the news of his newfound food-related wealth. "Oh, yeah?" he asked eagerly. "Which ones?"

He was here to save her from a cheesy doom, after all.
"Excepting, naturally, what I'm already eating. I think they even have different types of cheese in some of them."
These were gourmet grilled cheeses, after all.

And then he took a closer peek at the sandwiches, searching for one that might have grill marks on the bread that might resemble a G, because then those clearly were for him!
"First come, first serve, after all," he continued brightly. "I just sure swiss I get a gouda one!"

"Well," he insisted loftily, "I curd hardly say no, in your time of need, Belle! But I assure you, I really don't rind!"

"Oh, Graham. I do love our chats!"

Not believing this would be perfectly understandable. Sometimes it seemed like she'd never left the server room on the lower floor of GAIA Base, either.
But here she was, hesitantly poking her head around the edge of the door into the common room with her usual skittish-deer expression.
"Something smells good in here."

There was always a lot.

"They don't belong to anyone, do they?"
Then, almost as an afterthought, and very quietly:
"Hi, Graham."

Look, very clear and important rules had been estsblished on this matter, so they had to be shared and known.
"So they definitely could be belonging to you!"
no subject
"Okay," she said as she took the sandwich and went to find herself a seat all the way in the corner of one of the couches. "Um... thanks."
no subject
Whoever that had been!
"But good choice! That looks like a good one!"

Beta, just enjoy the sandwich, geez.

She took an experimental bite of the sandwich, and now that she thought about it she'd seen these in some of the pre-Swarm holos she liked to watch back at the base.
"I think I understand why they called this a comfort food," she said eventually.

"I need to try this again before I draw any conclusions," she said, and tried another bite.
"Not bad so far. I may change my mind before I finish this but I'm not sure it's likely."
