Third Floor Common Room, Sunday Afternoon

Belle had considered reading outside today but on her way outside she'd run into someone delivering a very large lunch order who had handed it off to her with a "oh, it's already paid for and it's just for the dorms so I guess it's yours now bye!"

So instead of going outdoors she'd headed back up the stairs to her common room and opened the bags to find a rather large quantity of tomato soup and several grilled cheese sandwiches. Naturally she needed to fix herself a bowl of the soup and bring it to the table with a sandwich.

She only hoped that someone else might come by to help her eat all of this food.

Beta hesitated, but nodded and scurried into the room quickly, as if she didn't want anyone to catch her.

"They don't belong to anyone, do they?"

Then, almost as an afterthought, and very quietly:

"Hi, Graham."

"Well, those ones," Graham pointed over to where Belle was eating hers, "belong to Belle, and these ones," again, lifting his own, "belong to me, but those ones will belong to whoever starts eating them. First come, first serve."

Look, very clear and important rules had been estsblished on this matter, so they had to be shared and known.

"So they definitely could be belonging to you!"

Beta glanced from Graham to the sandwiches, then to Belle and then the sandwiches again before she took a little breath and went to help herself to one.

"Okay," she said as she took the sandwich and went to find herself a seat all the way in the corner of one of the couches. "Um... thanks."

"Don't thank me," Graham insisted with a chuckle and a shake of his. "Thank the person who gave it all to Belle in the first place!"

Whoever that had been!

"But good choice! That looks like a good one!"
