Room 239/240: Recovery

Janet is sitting on the floor, medical supplies from her kit spread out around her. She is counting everything, and scribbling a list of supplies she needs to replenish on a sheet of paper sitting on a clipboard next to her.

::shrugs:: It depends. They either throb horribly, or I don't really feel them at all. I think I might be pretty useless with 'em for a while.

Thankfully, Kara helped my get cleaned up this morning. I just hope I don't need that much help for very long...

That's fairly normal for burns. Numb all the time would be bad. It would mean that the nerves weren't regenerating. Your skin's going to be fairly sensitive for a while, though.

Can you take a voice-activated tape recorder to your classes so you don't have to take notes? I'm sure people will be able to help you write out your homework.

*Daniel wanders over to the dorms after getting Janet's phonecall. Once he reaches Janet's door, he knocks and waits for someone to answer*

Sorry about the mess. We had a lot of hit and run trauma, what with the zombie attacks this weekend. I've got to reorganize everything and reorder supplies. *notices the box and smiles shyly* So, ah, how was your trip?

Yeah, it's okay. I'm sorry I missed it. *grins, noticing her noticing the box* It was good. Not as eventful as the attacks, but still very rewarding.

You're sorry you missed the zombie attacks? *raises an eyebrow and looks at Daniel amusedly and disbelievingly* Why on Earth would you have been sorry to have missed the shambling, rotting corpses of the brain-eating walking dead?

I'm glad to hear the trip was rewarding, though. What were you researching? Did you find anything interesting?

Hey, Janet. *Beka looks tired but clean, calm and peaceful. She's carrying her pulse pistol in a thigh holster, but she's minus her unwearably bloody black leather, in favor of black leggings.*

"Hey," says Janet. Her eyes have dark circles under them and while she's wearing clean clothing, she looks weary. "Glad you made it through unscathed." She gives Beka a quick once-over. She looks fine. "You did make it through unscathed, didn't you?"

"I think I'm better than you," Beka answers, arms crossed under chest. "When's the last time you slept?"

Knowing Janet won't answer that unless she's sure Beka is OK, Beka fends her off with an arched eyebrow. "I'm fine. Nothing worse than a few scratches and muscle aches."

"Oh, I slept after we got out of the library," said Janet. "And I'll take a nice, long nap later." She gestures at the medical supplies all over the floor. "But I had to inventory these before the rest of the roommates got back."

Janet nods. Everyone's scratched and sore. "Great," she says. "So, how's it going?"

"Do you need a hand?" It seems rude to stand and talk while Janet's obviously working. "Going pretty good actually. Did you hear I'm running for Student Council? I can't believe Liz talked me into it."

"Nah, I'm good," said Janet. "Besides, I made my list by inventory number instead of supply name." She holds up her pad of paper with a grin of amusement at her own expense. "So you'd be kind of confused. But thanks for the offer. I could use a break anyway." She shakes her head. "Student Council, huh? What position?"

Hey Janet... I could use a little favor here...

*rolls up t-shirt sleeve to show Janet bullet graze from last night that is still oozing slightly.*

I put a pressure bandage on it last night and a fresh dressing this morning, but it's still not looking too good. I'm not keen on that clinic... I thought maybe you could help out a little and keep it kinda quiet?

I had them arming chickens. So you can kind of extrapolate from that.

But we were so organized the zombies complimented me us.

Ask either Xander or the Chef. They were more in charge of the chicken. I was in charge of them. It was all about chain of command. And we didn't keep score. Too damn many of those things. Remember, you guys only got the ones that got *past* us.

I've never met this Xander guy, but I'll have to ask him. I'm a little afraid of the Chef. Also, I can't understand a thing he says.

To be honest, I wasn't keeping track of who got what zombies. Mostly I just wanted them to go away. Which, thankfully, they did.

(OOC: Saw it. Nearly died laughing too. Looks like everyone got to have fun with the plot!)

Of course it's going to hurt, Shep. But it'll hurt less than it would if it gets infected. Don't worry, I'll be gentle. *winks*
