Janet is sitting on the floor, medical supplies from her kit spread out around her. She is counting everything, and scribbling a list of supplies she needs to replenish on a sheet of paper sitting on a clipboard next to her.

Strange how? I mean, all of us from Colorado--the students, I mean--have been acting a bit strange. But then again, it's a bit traumatic being suddenly sixteen again. It doesn't make us not the people you knew as adults.

*holds her hair out of the way for Daniel to fasten the necklace* It's a beautiful necklace. It's-- Thank God I didn't find a dress for the dance yet. I'll have to find one I can wear this with. *smiles back at him* *tries not to think about kissing him*

Considering the way ~~the SGC~~ Colorado has been lately, I'm quite glad I'm here. And with you here, I feel like I'm home *grins*

I don't know, Carter's been avoiding me, Vala's been...well Vala except not attaching herself to me. I guess it's the going back to school thing that's made everyone a bit strange. I'm trying to balance out the people from Colorado with the teenage ~~hormone-crazed~~ idiosyncrasies.

*He grins looking away, blushing just slightly* Yes, but no matter what you wear, you will still be the most beautiful girl in the school. *tries to get mind out of gutter as well*

It's almost home here. Not quite, but the people from Colorado-- We're like a family. And there are some other people too that are great. I hate being a teenager again, but I'm glad I got to know them. *grins back at Daniel*

Sam's been avoiding everyone, including me. I wish I knew why, but I ask her the most innocuous things and she snaps at me. I think she said she was taking a vacation just before the zombies attacked. Vala's-- I didn't know her before, but she's something else. Good in a crisis, though.

I guess you got stuck being the normal one of the bunch, huh? It's just-- We're the same people we were, Daniel. But the situation has changed--wow, has it changed--and so we respond to the situation differently. ~~And the hormones affect it too. Trust me, I know about the hormones.~~

*softly* The most beautiful girl in the school. *normal voice* Why didn't you say anything like that to me back ~~at the SGC~~ in Colorado? I'd have been just as happy to hear it then as I am to hear it now.

*really can't stop thinking about kissing Daniel*

Yes, well, these past few days before the weekend have been helping to make me feel like I'm back in Colorado *smiles* There are some really great people here. And not having to work for the government anymore is also a good thing.

Well, at least it's not just me. maybe she was PMSing...oops I probably shouldn't have said that *innocent look*

Someone had to be the normal one, and I don't know why it ended up being me. I always considered myself to be the strangest out of all of us in Colorado. Excluding Teal'c.

Oh, the government. They started to annoy me long, long ago. But I really started getting mad once they put Mackenzie in charge of where I was supposed to go to high school. Things may not be getting back to normal here--I doubt they'll ever be normal again--but they're settling into a comforting routine.

I've never thought you were very strange, Daniel. Dedicated, yes, and very passionate and intense about your work, but never strange.

There's always going to be something that makes it weird, Daniel. *looks down at her teenage body and blushes* I'm tired of things getting in the way.
