After a long day at his open classroom, The Tick entered the common room wearing a snazzy hat made of Peeps. It was starting to look less like a hat and more like a bunch of Peeps just kind of stuck to his head.

It was time to party.

Since his son was still a no show, Commander Adama wanders down to the mixer alone.

When he notices the blue gentleman in the tie and hat, he has immediate Cylon thoughts but tries to keep himself under control. Intel was his friend.

Momentarily separated from his Padawan, Obi-Wan wandered into the common room. A large blue gentleman seemed to be be hosting the party, so Obi-Wan approached to introduce himself.

"Good evening," he said, nodding. "That's a very festive hat you have there."

Having tried all day and yet failed to find Cadet Carson, Doggie Cruger finally decides to just go to the mixer and hope he'll run into Bridge there. He surveys the refreshment table with passive interest and finally settles on a cup of punch, then stands near the door waiting for Kat and, hopefully, Bridge at some point.

Bridge wanders in to the common room and spots Doggie.

"Erm. Hi, sir." he says, in his best "innocent! totally innocent!" voice.

Since the party is in the dorms and Jack figures John will be down soon enough, he gives him the time. He enters the mixer, grabs a soda and leans against a wall.

John notices his father standing against a far wall, takes a deep breath, and heads over.

"Hey Dad," he says as cheerfully as he can manage.

Callisto wanders in and takes up a position against a wall where she can keep an eye on the door.

Seeing the "singer" from the night before, Adama glares at her while trying to hide the Peep the Tick had given him with his hand.

Free of her mother for the night and needing something to keep her mind off ... a lot of things, Angela strolls into the common room to see how weird everyone else is with their parents or guardians.

She takes a cup of punch and plops down on the couch.

Leaving Obi-Wan to chat with Professor Tick and freed of his conversation with Paige, Anakin noticed Angela on the couch and wandered over to say hi.

"Did you hear about Marty?" he asked.

Quinn hasn't really seen her family around most of the day, and strangely enough, she's actually hoping they show up. At the very least, it would be nice to be able to complain about them.

She takes a seat with a drink and waits to see what's interesting.

Jake and Helen walk in - Helen immediately starts eyeing down everyone else in the room, while a wide grin breaks out on Jake's face.

"Ooh, punch!"

They spot Quinn and walk over to where she is seated.

Sharon wanders in to the scheduled event, clutching her purse. She's just finished chain-smoking outside and a faint whiff of tobacco smoke still clings to her. She lost Jaye sometime this afternoon, and so Sharon spent most of the day sitting outside the dorm room, waiting for someone to come home.

No one did.

Sharon is NOT in a good mood.

Determined not to leave the room, because somehow that's like giving up and she is not showing John's father that she will do that, Aeryn takes a seat on one of the sofas, watching the crowd and definitely not thinking.

Cellphone attached to his ear and frowning heavily, Hammond enters and unzips his jacket. He moves immediately toward the bar gesturing to a bottle of water. The attendant hands one to him and he nods his thanks.

"We'll need to set up a meeting with the liaison, then," he says. His expression registers his distaste. "We've got to get that line item approved; the whole program will be in jeopardy without it."

There's a pause and the general nods, though the person on the opposite end can't see it. "Do what you can, General. I'll be in touch." He closes the phone and holsters it absently, eyes scanning the room.

Parker smiles, and meanders over to the General George Hammond, Aeryn Sun in tow.

"How are you enjoying your evening here, sir?"
