Wednesday night, Gym

To Alanna's delight, the gym had been empty when she had entered it. No one there, no one to ask questions on why she had been allowed to keep a sword. No one to ask questions, no need to get angry and therefore violent. Alanna quickly stretched and began working on a series of exercises Duke Gareth wanted her to practice. She was pretty intent on her work and would have some trouble noticing if the sky fell on her.

Bel read over Alanna's shoulder, taking careful note of the spell. "Show me?" he asked, smiling a disarming smile.

Alanna sighed. "If I start hearring voices again, it's all your fault." She glanced around the room and finally pulled off one of her earrings and a ring and put them on the floor. She let the cord drop around the ring and concentrated on the spell. Someone who could see magic would have seen a purple light envelope the two objects. Someone who couldn't, would have seen the ring and earring begin to shake, and with a pop replace each other.

Bel could see the magic and watched carefully. "Cool," he said. "Very cool. Is the cord special or just a way to focus?"

Alanna flipped open to another page. "Special. I tied it for Angela's spell and being string it can be re-used. Care to try? My disclaimer still holds."

Bel looked down at the ring and the earring in the middle of the string. He glanced at the book, memorizing the words, then concentrated on the spell. Black and red energy flowed around him, and then there was a pop. The ring and earring remained where they were. One of the Triad goal boards accross the room, however, vanished, replaced with the fourth floor Christmas tree.

"Ooops," Bel said.

Alanna blinked at the Christmas tree that now appeared and tried not to burst out laughing. "Picking up any radio signals?" She tilted her head. "Wanna try to put them back?" No, no laughing, at all.

"No radio," Bel said, blinking at the tree. He concentrated again. "Umm...I can't seem to make it go back."

Alanna groaned. "Great. Maybe we could just leave it here and hope noone asks any odd questions?"

"Nobody saw us," Bel said solemnly. "Can't prove anything."

Alanna plucked her jewelry off of the floor. "Tree? What tree? That was always there!" Alanna began to fight with the earring. "Yeah, if you decided to try that again, don't try anyone alive. Or, capable of thought. Things go even wonkier then."

"Not alive, got it," Bel said. Well, techincally Angel and Angelus weren't alive. And Angel wasn't capable of thought. This could still work.

Alanna shook her head and headed for the door. "I hold my disclaimer." She was almost out before she turned around a fraction. "Black and red with a bit of white." She shrugged. "Unusual." Without waiting for a reply, she was gone.
