Second Floor Common Room

Rory toddled out to the common room with LWB III, Holly, and several other dolls and stuffed toys with her. She also had a soft pink blankie.

She plopped onto the floor approximately a foot from the television, and began to watch Itchy and Scratchy, intermittently giggling around her thumb, which was firmly lodged in her mouth.


[ooc: So, Rory was bitten by a gremlin earlier. She now thinks she's about three or four years old. She still looks like she's seventeen, though, in spite of the icon. Also, she'll recognize people, but only if you're someone she knows pretty well. And don't expect her to process a whole lot. Rory was a very precocious toddler, but there's a limit, really.]

Callisto, still fleeing from Principal Smith, wandered into the common room.

And blinked.

Rory waved enthusiastically to Callisto.

"Hi hi!" she said, extracting her thumb for a moment before swiftly returning it to her mouth and continuing to watch the television.

Anders, emerging from his room after several hours playing with his new TV and DVD player (no, really), wandered into the common room just behind Callisto.

And also blinked.

"Uh. Gilmore? The frak are you doing?"

Sam came back into the common room, pens and highlighters in hand, along with a bunch of photocopied pages, determined to figure out how Winona worked so could help Cameron fix her.

"Hey, Rory. Nice to see you've dried off."

Rory turned to look at who had said her name, and waved with the hand that was firmly holding LWB.

"Hi Tham!" she lisped around her thumb.

Jake wandered into the common room. Krycek must've found the box by now, and since he didn't have a telly, he'd probably end up in the common room. Or so Jake reasoned. He was dressed in his "instant human, just add coffee" t-shirt and carrying a book.

More than mildly disturbed by Rory's behavior, Anders was glad for the distraction when someone he didn't know walked into the common room.

He was even gladder once he'd read the slogan on Jake's shirt.

"Dude! That shirt is awesome."

Sam looked over as someone new entered. She smiled at the shirt, and wondered where she could get one for Daniel. "Hey. I'm Sam Carter."

She looked back at Rory.

"Hey, Jakey." Callisto waved.

"Jakey!" Rory cried happily, flailing her arms around joyfully. "Come watch cartoons with me! Can I have pancakes?"

The Tick was walking to Rory's room with a rough schedule for next semester with "rough" defined as "Here Be Classes. Topics TBD.", hoping she'd be able to flesh it out a bit. Then he spotted Rory in the commmon room.

"Hello, Rory!" he said. "I was just looking for you!"

Rory waved distractedly with LWB. "Come watch cartoons! Do you have pancakes?"

Angela joins the throng in the common room.

"Hey, is anything fun going on? I'm so bored."

Anders waves. "Chase! Your hair is red again! You're back! And I think Rory thinks she's, like, four!"

"Angela!" Rory cried delightedly. "Come watch cartoons! Or we could color. Or play dollies! But not with Holly, 'cause she's asleep. Shhh."

Having taken a break from studying to go work out some more, Cameron passes by the common room. He sticks his head in as there seems to be a lot of commotion going on there and stiffles a yawn. "Yo, Rory."

"Hi hi hi!" Rory said cheerfully. "Do you have pancakes?"

Marty comes home from working at the bookshop and flops down on one of the couches, oblivious to most of the conversation above.

He stares at the tv for a second.

"Why are we watching cartoons?"

"Marty!" Rory beamed. "Do you have pancakes? And cartoons are bestest!!!!"

Before heading into town, John walks by the common room and notices a lot of commotion.

"Did I miss a party?"

"John John John! Do you have pancakes?" Rory asked frantically.

Apparently the second floor common room is the bustling hive of scum and villainy of activity, as Smith finds himself wandering in through the door frame for a second time.

"What appears to be the ruckus? What is the point of a party if you are unable to invite your pal Smith?"

Rory looked up from coloring at the person she didn't know.

"Hi! Wanna color?"

Aeryn means to walk through the common room, but has to stop when she sees Rory. She knows she should just walk on by, but... "Hi," she says.

"Hi Aeryn!" Rory said gleefully. "Wanna color?" She offered up a highlighter.

Jaye has a radar for this sort of thing. And she just happened to have a camera with her, because after last night's potential Jaws movie, she's just going to do that all the damn time.

She looks over the room, with the cartoons and the drawings, and gets out the camera. "Hey, Rory," she calls.

Fairly late in the evening, Archie wandered up to the second floor common room and stopped in when he noticed Rory.

"Hello again, Rory! I trust you've sufficiently recovered from last night's aquatic antics? And that you don't hold them against me too much?"
