2nd Floor Common Room (Tuesday)

Elizabeth had added her poster next to Parker's.

It was her only poster at the moment. There was no point in plastering the school with them if she decided not to run in the end.

Vote Elizabeth Weir as Junior Student Council Representative

She headed back to the corner table where she had started her jigsaw puzzle last week.

She looked distracted, and occassionally glanced across at the poster. Why was she running? Was it because she felt that she should?

[[Come and help with the puzzle, or, if anyone wouldn't mind trying to talk her out of this emo funk she's got herself into, that would be very much appreciated!]]

"You running for student government again, Liz?" he asks.

[identity profile] leeadama.livejournal.com 2006-01-03 03:08 pm (UTC)(link)
"What position are you thinking of?" he asks.

"Ah...that's an... interesting...wait," he says all confused and full of democratic principles, damnit. "So the student body won't be voting on who represents them as president and vice president? It'll just be a quorum of -- how many? -- who make the executive decision?" Lee has angst suddenly.

Lee nods, omg, understanding a quorum of twelve situation. "So, when we're choosing our senior reps, we should know that one of them might be voted as the president, then?"

[identity profile] leeadama.livejournal.com 2006-01-03 03:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Lee smiles at her. "You should definitely run, I think."

"Why would you not run? What's stopping you?" he asks.

[identity profile] leeadama.livejournal.com 2006-01-03 03:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Lee would ask immediately what Valentine's Day is but he's trying to be supportive, not hopelessly clueless. "Well, for one, being on the student government helps you improve all kinds of skills, like leadership and working with a group and dealing with a large student body as well as the administration. Even if it IS just deciding what color or what kinds of drinks to order." He shrugs. "Also, it looks great on a resume, eh?"

[identity profile] leeadama.livejournal.com 2006-01-03 03:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Lee thinks about this a moment. "Well, if you really don't want to run, then you shouldn't. I just think you're a shoe-in candidate, really."

[identity profile] leeadama.livejournal.com 2006-01-03 04:03 pm (UTC)(link)
"Hey, I'd like to say I have an uncanny ability to know which of my peers are natural leaders and you have this odd older-woman, in-charge aura to you that is ridiulously attractive to me, but," and he shrugs, "I voted for you last time. Like to keep the same vote."

[identity profile] leeadama.livejournal.com 2006-01-03 04:11 pm (UTC)(link)
"Do you know anything about the voting process? How many reps we get to vote for, etc?"

[identity profile] leeadama.livejournal.com 2006-01-03 04:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Lee nods. "There is a lot that our current and changing administration is not telling us. Like... class schedules for one," he grumbles.

"It would be great if we had a class together, you know?" he says.
