IKEA trip, Tuesday daytime

"Yup," Rory said happily. "Mom's pregnant. I get to name the baby. Marty thinks it should be 'Barista.'"

"Less than a year," Rory laughed. "But I never see her. One of these days I ought to take a roadtrip and go see my dad and Sherry and Gigi."

"Where do they live? Is it a day trip, or longer?" "Okay, never in this life will I buy anything like that, for me or anyone else."

Rory blinked at the rug. "Colorful and abstract," she said diplomatically. "And they live in Hartford. I made the drive from my grandparents' house there in a day or so. Not too long a trip. But then again...this is my driving we're talking about."

"Heh. I haven't seen you drive. We really should get a road-trip going, sometime this semester. Maybe spring break?" Parker looked thoughtful. "Then again, I was telling Alanna I'd kidnap her early this summer, so she gets *some* sun in before she goes back to Castle Dreadful. We could always do that."

She wandered over to the beds, and looked over miles and miles of bedding. "This is like a very surreal textile-based dream."

"That'd be fun," Rory agreed. She gazed at the bedding. "There is much with the bed stuff here. Maybe this is like the 'beyond' they refer to in Bed, Bath and Beyond."

"It's insane," Angela agrees. "And it's all so .... shiny and crisp and white."

She sounds a little dizzy, then blinks as if shaking herself out of it. "What do you guys think of this bedspread?"
