Second Floor, Early Wednesday Night

Chloe gives a small grunt as she pulls a box out past the door of room 228 and into the hallway. She has to admit, she's excited about moving up to the East Attic with Veronica. She's really starting to like Piper - and the idea of having her own bit of space.

"I think we're going to need larger and stronger people for some of these boxes," she says to Veronica. "I didn't realize we'd made them so heavy."

Chloe looked up from one of the boxes she was taping just in time to spot Krycek. "Hey Alex!" she called. She didn't notice the look on his face. "How would you like to be my favorite person ever and help me out of box hell?"

"Depends on where 'out' is," he said, frowning still. "You leaving?"

"Sort of. Veronica and I are moving up to the east attic, with Piper Halliwell. You know, Pheoebe's sister?" She looks up at him, frowning lightly as she catches his glance. "I'm not leaving altogether or anything. I like the dorm way too much."

Making a face, he moved to help Chloe, seeing as how she wasn't just taking off in the night or similar. "Good to know. Were you going to tell anyone though?"

"Um, I didn't think anyone would care," Chloe admitted. "All I really do in my room is sleep, although now that I'm getting my own bedroom, I might be able to do more, with the privacy." She gave him a little shrug. "I'm sorry. It never occurred to me that it might be worth mentioning."

He considered that and shrugged as well. "I suppose that's true, but it'd be nice to know where to look for you if you happened to be actually sleeping there instead of the Journalism room. Krycek smiled slightly. "Would it be completely stupid for me to admit I thought you were leaving for a moment?"

"Well, if you ever need me, and I'm not in the Journalism room, I'll be up in the east attic behind the door with the little paper sign that says 'Chloe's Room' on it," Chloe said, giggling. "And it wouldn't be completely stupid. Maybe just a little, tiny bit. Why would you think I was leaving?" she asked. "You're not getting rid of me just yet."

He grinned, vaguely sheepish. "Good. By the way, I meant to say thanks for the Christmas invite. It was nice to have a real vacation for once."

Chloe grinned, blushing just a bit as she thought about Christmas. "Oh, believe me, you're very welcome. I think it goes without saying that I'm really glad you and Jake came to visit me. And consider yourself like, permanently invited to Smallville. You should have more real vacations."

"Probably. And thank again," he said, grinning still. "So you want help carrying all these up? You could have told me you were moving if for nothing else to get another box-mover in on it."

"You don't have to help with all of them, but if you want to help me with some of them, I'll be forever indebted to you," Chloe said enticingly.

"Oh, you'll owe me?" He arched an eyebrow and grinned. "Very convincing. Let's see how many of these we can get moved."
