Third Floor Common Room, Wednesday Evening.

Slightly unnerved by the welcome party down on the first floor, Callisto retreated to the common room and started flicking through the tv channels. She finally found a rerun of Bitterwoman, and better still she hadn't seen this one yet.

"Nooooooothing," Rory sing-songed. "Except that you looooooove him."

"Oh, God. Not this again." Parker palmed her face.

"You doooooooooooo," Rory continued.

"Rory," Parker said warningly. "Your brain has been pickled in caffiene. You've never even seen us interact, for god's sake." Parker frowned. "I don't think, anyway...."

"I've seen you on the phone with him. It's enough," Rory smirked.

"Mommy's crazy," Parker told Vladdie, reaching over to pat him on the head. "So, so, so crazy. But it's okay, little Butterfly Brain. You're too little to get crazy like she does. You have to be very smart and very bored to get like this," she added, pointing at Rory.

"And there was the time when he helped out with the Michael thing and then you sang at Caritas," Rory continued.

Sighing, Parker said. "Yeah. What about it? You guys helped too."

"Uh huh," Rory replied with a smirk. "The song you guys sang was adorable, by the way."

"It wasn't adorable, I won," Parker said, disgruntled. "I *did* sing it better than him. Damnit."

"It was too," Rory grinned. She changed the topic abruptly. "So, true to my word, I'm going to be out of your spare room by the end of the week."

"Yay!" Parker blinked, then said, "I mean, awww." She grinned. "Well, somewhere in between, anyway. Congratulations. What room did you get?"

"213. Not too far, and it's aaaaaall mine," Rory said happily.

"That's convenient," Parker said innocently. "For your personal space. As I would know."

"Yes. Personal space is good," Rory said solemnly.

"Essential, even."

After talking with Lee, Parker makes her way back to Rory's side of the room, then bends down to pat Vladdie.

"Why does Lee think you and Anakin are thing?" she asks, very quietly ~~so quietly a tree in the corner can't hear her.~~

Rory stared.

"There's no reason why he should. Lee's an idiot," she sighed.

"Evidently," Parker said dryly. "But he's quite full of his idiocy. I couldn't tell how much he *thought* he knew, but he's supposed to play on Boxey sometime later. Do you want to be there to read him the riot act?"

"Nah, I already did once, in the library. Let me know if he's telling other people, though." She rolled her eyes. "And he'd do better to mind his own business, anyway. And that of his girlfriend."

"Oh, really?" No, Parker's not delighted to hear dirt about Kara. Why would she be? "He mentioned something about a weird vibe, but, he didn't seem to know what it was about...?"

Rory frowned. "I'm not supposed to talk about it, but...suffice it to say that he needs to keep an eye on her and any friendships she might have with other people."

"Ahhhh." Which isn't as amusing as it could be. "Lee's a doof, but I'm sorry to hear that. Really."

Really.

"I'll thwap him again for you, though."

And not just because it's fun.

"Good. Because spreading rumors is mean," Rory pouted.

"Yes it is," and that response is totally sincere. "So. One Apollo to be messed with later. Got it."
