Slightly unnerved by the welcome party down on the first floor, Callisto retreated to the common room and started flicking through the tv channels. She finally found a rerun of Bitterwoman, and better still she hadn't seen this one yet.

"Yeah - you ought to move down to the second!" Rory said. "We have like a million people. But doesn't Callisto live near you? You guys could hang out. And having a single rocks so much more than having to share. I like having the whole thing be according to my agenda, and not having to worry about a roommate who might...see things they shouldn't. You know, privacy and all."

"All my stuff is on three, though," Angela groans. "And yeah, Cal is in 306. Though, it's weird, I hardly see the people in that room except her. Think Six installed a secret entrance or something?"

"Privacy is very good. Also, it makes it easier to have a pet," Angela says seriously.

"All my stuff was on three. And then I moved," Rory shrugged. "Doesn't Jack Harkness live there, too? I know 6 left, but I thought Jack was still around."

"Yes! Exactly!" Rory nodded. "Like, remember when Logan turned into a bunny? I had to live at his house for the weekend, because Anya's scared of rabbits. So yeah. Makes the whole pet thing easier, though I haven't met anyone who doesn't like Vladdie."

Angela shakes her head. "I don't know about Jack. He was gone, then he came back but he didn't have his memory, and I don't know where he lives now. Haven't seen him in a while."

"And of course everybody loves Vladdie. He's so hyper and adorable and -- we should be evil and see how Min feels about him, shouldn't we?"

"Huh. I wonder where Jack's been, then," Rory said in a puzzled sort of way.

"We should," she laughed. "Oh, we ought to like, have a pet party or something. With Vladdie and Min and Sean and Yoda and Jeremiah and Esme and stuff."

"That would be the cutest thing ever," Angela laughs. "I mean, half of them would try to eat the other half, but still. Way cute."

Rory thought about it. "So we'll keep the amphibians and the bunny away from the kitty and the puppies. We can bring Professor Tick's fish and Aeryn's sea monkeys in, too. Oh, and Bridgey's robot doggie!"

Angela laughs. "You're all cute when you're like this.Bunny, kitty, puppy -- would you call Lockheed, like, dragony, or something?"

"And yeah, with enough people it should go okay."

Rory shook her head solemnly. "Lockheed's not a pet. He probably wouldn't like having a whimsical suffix."

"Good point," Angela says, equally solemnly. "And Min is akitty, even if she denies it."

Rory winced. "A cat," she corrected. "After last week, I'm going to stop using that particular word for awhile.

Angela looks perplexed. "Okay," she says. "What happened last week? And, um, you said kitty first, remember?"

Rory rolled her eyes. "The thing with Lockheed. And yeah, I know I did. I'm going to try to catch myself." She frowned. "It's such a cute word. You wouldn't think it'd be able to cause such emo."
