Slightly unnerved by the welcome party down on the first floor, Callisto retreated to the common room and started flicking through the tv channels. She finally found a rerun of Bitterwoman, and better still she hadn't seen this one yet.

"Hello, Rory," Archie called back, chuckling at Vladdie. "How have you been?"

"I'm just dandy," Rory replied with a grin. "Have you met anyone interesting?"

"No," he said, slightly embarrassed. "I admit to holing up in my room all day. The ruckus on my floor was not to be believed."

Rory winced. "Yeah, I can imagine. I was down there for a bit, but I didn't talk to anyone new. I met a nice girl a few minutes ago, though. She had a horse and a monkey."

Archie's jaw dropped in a most undecorous fashion, but he quickly recovered. "In the dorms?"

"Uh huh. They were going up," Rory grinned, pointing to the ceiling.

"You'd think I'd learn not to be surprised by now," Archie managed weakly, following Rory's gesture upward to the ceiling. "Oh, hell."

"She was rather odd. But nice. I've no idea how she's going to keep a horse on the fifth floor, though," Rory replied with a slight smirk.
