2nd floor hallway, evening

Angel was out in the 2nd floor hallway.

In theory he was going back to his room after taking Sean for a walk.

In reality he was standing in front of one of the many, many campaign posters that had his name on it and was trying to tear it down.

He might be heard to mutter words about really strong tape, and dire thoughts about someone whose name rhymed with Doreen.

[ooc: Open to anybody]

"Passing right over the part where you've been here for about a hundred years," Josh said, then stopped. "Actually, based entirely on you being here for a hundred years. You'd totally freak me out in my other two classes because you'd know more than I would. Campaign work, though..." Josh looked at Angel. "Call it a feeling. You've got an instinct for this kind of thing, I think. You can give me some insight into the undead Americans community, you have practical experience that would translate to the course work..." Josh didn't mention Angel's slip about manipulating the last election, but was certainly thinking that it was a good indication of the kind of instincts that, properly channeled, could be a real asset.

He grinned. "Heck, if you're gonna live forever, you might as well know exactly how badly campaigns are screwing up around you. And political consultants make insane amounts of money for what is essentially common sense advice."

Josh tried to supress a triumphant smile. "I really do. For one thing, this class has practically no public speaking. For another, I'm much, much cooler than CJ." He grinned. "For a third, if you'd like to be a TA again this semester, I can guarantee that I won't be as strange as that last teacher."

He ran a hand through his hair. "Or at least I'll be strange in a slightly saner way."

Josh grinned, showing his dimples as shown by the super spiffy icon. mmm.

"Fantastic!" He held out his hand. "Welcome aboard. I'll put in the proper paperwork." He wrinkled up his nose. "I hate paperwork."

"One of the first rules of campaigning--if it's isn't in writing, it doesn't exist." He gave Angel a wry smile. "And talking off-the-cuff has gotten me in my share of trouble, let me tell you."

He shifted his bag on his shoulder. "Now I have to head back to town--need to talk to a guy about a place to live. Nice as they seem to be, I'm not living in a dorm again."

Josh gave a little wave over his head. "Will do," he replied.

Halfway down the hall he realized he probably should've asked what the other vampires in town looked like.
