Second Floor Common Room [Come one, come all.]

After waiting in his room for Carter for over an hour Jack decides that he must've been blown off. Either that or that she's working on something and still thinks she has "two more minutes."

Either way Jack has decided to go watch some TV to take his mind off it all.

"Ooh hey, Jon Smith. Huh. That kinda looks like the librarian."

"Yep. Just got in today. I'm Peter."

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-01-07 03:50 am (UTC)(link)
"Only if you count the local phone service," Peter said. "That seems like introduction enough, though."

Parker nods to the new kid when she comes in, still aware that she's being forced to be Nice. "Hey. Parker. And you are?"

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-01-07 05:00 am (UTC)(link)
"Peter looked confused. "Hey. Wait, how do you know my name?"

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2006-01-07 05:08 am (UTC)(link)
Parker blinked in response. "I don't. Why do you think I-- oh." She grinned. "No, I'm Parker. I have no idea who you are."

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-01-07 05:13 am (UTC)(link)
"Ah, okay. That explains it. Peter Parker," Peter said. "First names might be easier for us."

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2006-01-07 05:37 am (UTC)(link)
"Except I hate mine. And anyone who tries to tell you to call me Maureen wants you to die," Parker said, grimacing. "I can call you Peter, though, I suppose. If I must. Otherwise people will think we're married or related." She grinned. "So, did you just get here?"

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-01-07 05:45 am (UTC)(link)
"Never call you by your first name unless feeling suicidal. I've learned so much already and school hasn't even started yet!" Peter said. "Yeah, I got in early this morning. Didn't get out among the people until a little while ago, though."

"We're devoted to education," Parker said dryly. "Well, welcome. I assume everyone's given you the standard warnings." She tried to think of the one thing she would've wanted to be warned about before she started at Fandom, and said, "And anything you've heard about Locker 327? Is true." She tilted her head. "So, are you human, or other?"

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-01-07 05:57 am (UTC)(link)
"Yeah, Anakin gave me the rundown," Peter said. "I plan on staying far away from that locker if I can help it."

Peter may have shown a little bit of panic at Parker's question. But very little because even he couldn't spoil a secret identity this quickly, right? "Huh? Other? I'm human. We have others?"

"Smart. An all-expenses trip to Colorado is cool only if it's to Aspen, and not a classified military facility." Parker grinned, then shrugged. "Sure. Mutants, vampires, several types of witch and magician, Slayers, miniature dragons, aliens, and whatever Professor Tick is." She grimaced. "So you've met Skywalker, hunh?"

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-01-07 06:11 am (UTC)(link)
Peter looked at Parker strangely about the Colorado thing. "Okay."

"Mutants, vampires, and wizards are old hat to me. I'm from New York," Peter said. And in his dimension, all three were indeed common in NYC. "Professor Tick?"

"Yeah, I guess Anakin is my Big Brother. I'm assuming that means that he's showing me the ropes and not that he'll be watching everything I do, right?" He couldn't be sure about that at this point.

Parker smirked. "He won't be, but the cameras everywhere will. Here's advice: don't get into a game of strip Poker or no-holds-barred Truth or Dare in the common rooms."

"Professor Trick is a professional superhero. He teaches Criminal Justice. I'm hoping to get into his class this term."

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-01-08 12:57 am (UTC)(link)
"Cameras?" Peter asked, rubbing the back of his neck. "Makes sense with the endless supply of danger, I guess."

"Wait, we have a superhero on campus?" Peter asked, laughing a little at the irony of his asking that question. "Huh. This place feels more and more like home every minute."

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2006-01-08 01:09 am (UTC)(link)
"Lots of them in your world?" Parker asked, crossing her legs at the ankle. "That happens, sometimes. A couple kids are from medieval worlds, some with ones with lots of mutants. Superhero world, hunh? All that spandex." She shuddered.

"And yeah, your room is private, and so are some of the offices, but mostly? We try to remember that at any moment a big white ball could come for us if we misbehave. Or worse, the principal."

"He'll be singing Three Blind Mice with a tambourine by the end of the term. And we'll have it on tape."

Parker whapped him upside the head with a pillow without even looking.

*WHAP!*

Parker's reflexes have been improving with all the throwing things at people, lately.
