Second Floor Common Room

Rory, bored beyond all reason, wandered out to the common room.

She sat on the back of a couch and flipped onto it, keeping her legs hooked over the back.

She started watching Enchanted. Upside-down.

She would totally welcome any interruptions.

"No, it didn't really look like my kind of thing." Peter shrugged because, really, if he weren't trying to get away from the whole superhero thing while he was her, it would be his kind of thing. "I did sign up for Journalism, though. That sounded pretty fun."

"And I've seen evil do adorable little flips like that all the time," Peter said, keeping a straight face. "It's tough to walk down the street in Manhattan without seeing evil do adorable little flips just like that."

"I'm in 101. I worked on a newspaper's website back in New York and one of the reporters took me out on a couple stories. It was pretty cool. I guess I got bit by the journalism bug and decided to give it a shot," he said, giving a big smile for some reason.

Noticing the slight twitch, Peter pressed on. "Oh, come on. You know you want to laugh. Think of the most evil person you know and picture them doing an adorable little flip like Vladdie just did. It's funny. Give in."

"Really? That sounds so cool," Peter said. "I'm not really sure what I'm going to do yet. I used to think something in science was a given, but things happened and priorities shift. Journalism could be just what I need." He shrugged. "Or maybe I'll suck and never write again. Trial and error. You never know."

Peter was determined. "Wee little flips and singing a song. Like, 'Baby Beluga.'"

"Oh thank God. Any longer and I would have had to do a little flip to make you laugh," Peter laughed. It would have been annoying to force himself to do a flip badly enough to be funny.

"Bunny slippers are a must, really. Otherwise, what's the point?"

"Dude. Evil. He'd better have a silly mask," Peter said despite the fact that he didn't have a single villain with a silly mask. It was very disappointing, really.

"And you'll get a silly little flip at some point. Just not tonight," Peter yawned. He stood up and stretched. "It's late. I need sleep. It was really nice meeting you, Rory."
