2nd floor common room, morning

Deciding the 2nd floor's awesomeness needs to be proven some more, Cameron is in the common room this morning making omelettes the way his father taught him. It might involve gjetost cheese and avocado.

"Uh, it's probably his on favourite one. I know this school is filled with caffeine junkies, but that is taking it a step to far." To prove his point, he poors himself another glass of milk.

Sipping her coffee, she shrugs. "And I admit there are times when it kind of makes sense."

Cameron raises an eyebrow. "Not you too..."

"I'm not nearly as bad as that," Aeryn says quickly. "I don't think that would even be possible."

"I hope not. They do say that it is addictive," he shrugs and leans against the counter, sipping from his glass and gathering a nice milk mosutache. "So how has your weekend been?"

"Very, very busy." And she's going to have to kill John, which is really a shame. "How was yours?"

"I think I spaced out after that phone craziness," Cameron quickly takes another drink when he realises he might be looking oddly at Aeryn to see if he can make something out.

"It would be a good reason to- What are you doing?"

"Drinking my milk!" Cameron says quickly, and the milk moustache really proves it if only he wasn't turning red.

Slightly panicked at the thought that Cameron may have been the recipient of one of the probable dozens of messages she and John sent, Aeryn goes slightly pale and refuses to think about it. "You have a little something," she says, indicating the moustache.

"Oh! Thanks," Cameron quickly wipes his mouth on the back of his hand and tells himself to forget about the last voicemail. He's not interested in Aeryn like that and besides, she looks exactly like Vala which really isn't helping. As it turns out, it's pretty much like the pink elephant thing.

She doesn't want to know, she doesn't want to know... "So. Ready for classes?"

His eyes snap up from where they haven't been straying and he quickly takes a seat. "Yep, will be glad to get things going again." The table is very interesting .

"Did you get everything you wanted?" she asks, completely ignoring his behavior because she's spent most of her weekend highly embarrassed.

"Yeah, I did actually. I even got in Self-Defence so I might actually be able to check you next time we spar." Cameron replies, completely oblivious he said anything wrong.

Aeryn clears her throat. "Check... me?"

He looks confused for a moment, then his mind catches up with his mouth and his ears turn a nice shade of pink. "Deck you! I totally said deck you. There's nothing I should need to check out! You're... You're fine. Nope, I said deck." He nods vigorously.

"No, you didn't. Those words don't sound even remotely similar," says Aeryn, who hears in Sebacean.

"Yes they do! They're like two letters apart. I totally said 'deck'. Maybe those microbe thingies are acting up?" Cameron suggests.

"My microbes are working just fine. Check me for what?"

"Underwear?" It's sad that his brain totally runs out of imagination when he gets into tight spots like this with girls who could probably do some serious damage to some of his more treasured body parts. He jumps up and away from the table. "Oh god. I'm sorry. It's that whole voicemail thing and you called and... I'm just a guy and you mentioned... and not wearing... and... Shit, I'm sorry."

Aeryn's face can't decide if it wants to go pale or really red, but settles on the former. For a moment all she can do is stare and try to sink into the chair, and-

"You were going to check me for underwear?"

"No! No no no no! That would mean," he gestures with his hands, realises what exaclty he's gesturing and stuffs them in his pockets. "No, slip of tongue. It's... I wouldn't dream of it. You're... We're friends and I lvoe Vala and you love John and just... No way!"

"Good!" Aeryn says, though her face is less pale and more red now. "Why would you want to know whether I'm wearing underwear or not?"
