Basement pool, early afternoon

Feeling restless, Angel decided to go down to the now squid-free pool and do some laps.

Sean kept him company by sitting on the sidelines and chewing a squeaky toy.

Anyone who accused the vampire of having extra energy because he was nervous about a certain event with a certain girl that night would be immediately splashed.

Or dunked.

Possibly both.

Maia looked surprised but Angels over abundance of information, She started giggling and shook her head "Goodness man, you've a dirty little mind." Maia couldn't help but keep laughing. "It good you've a nice girl to go on dates with." sure your not, your just itching to bust out the naughty boy icons

"Yeah," Angel said, still looking in no way totally and utterly intimidated. "Right. Good. Dating... dating is good. Keeps me... uh... talking to people, I guess. And me and talking goes so well. Always."

Maia gave him an encouraging smile "Well your doing pretty good at the moment. Just you know, remember to relax and just keep in mind that after the date she is still your friend. I assume you asked someone on a date that you've spoken to before so you've already got some practice in with talking to her."

"Callisto. She didn't kill me when I asked her on the date. That's a good sign, right?"

"Oh thats yeah, thats a wonderful sign." Maia nodded enthusiastically "Hell, it means that there may even be a second one you know." Maia treaded the water, "So are you getting her flowers or a legal weapon of some sort or are you just going to pick her up for the date?"

"Chocolate from Wonka's," Angel said. "She told me she didn't like flowers. Lee thought chocolate would be a good substitute."

Maia nodded "I think chocolates are a wonderful idea. Where are you taking her?" Maia said smiling again, Angel was good at talking he just needed to relax.

"The Chinese place," Angel said. "Callisto liked the food. I don't really eat so - " he shrugged.

Maia tilted her head "Can you eat if you want to?" Maia was curious she had never really talked at length is Angel or any vampire for that matter.

"I can," Angel said. "I can eat and drink. Just doesn't do anything for me. To survive I need blood. Luckly the butcher in town has plenty of pig's blood on hand."

Maia swallowed hard and she nodded "Yeah." Her voice was quiet "Blood." Clearing her throat she smiled then "Well maybe the chinese place can get something really rare for you you know, like mongolian beef without cooking the beef or- or something. That way you can enjoy it and it will do something for you."

"Huh." Angel looked thoughtful. "You know, I never thought of that. Think it might freak Callisto out though?"

"Well...she knows your a vampire right? Oh I know, tell them just to brown it a little you know so all the juice and stuff is still inside, that way she won't really notices its raw." Maia grinned pleased with that solution.

Maia smiled warmly "Anytime, good luck on your date tonight." Maia swam to the edge to get out of the pool. "I'll see in school tomorrow."

Maia nodded and stepped from the pool. She reached down and scratched Sean behind his ears. "See you later pretty boy." She said kissing his head again she then stated walking over towards Lana grabbing her towel and wrapping it around her.
