Rooms 239/240: Moving Day [After Classes]

Even though Marty was given an invitation to move into Room 239/240 by Jack on Sunday, it wasn't until today that Marty finally found the time to pack up his belongings and start the migration to his new digs down the hall.

Sure... Some people would say he was crazy to give up a single but Marty couldn't resist the opportunity to figure out what those Colorado Refugees were trying to hide from the rest of the school.

Marty picked up his first box and looked over to Camilla.

"C'mon girl. Let's go meet our new roomies."

So together Marty and his pet chicken started the migration down the hallway.

Sam kissed him quickly and licked her lips. "Yep, still better."

Jack smiled and licked his lips. Hm, "Watermelon?"

Jack leaned in and kissed her again Poor Marty!

"Hmm... Are you sure it's not watermelon?"

"Positive. I hate the flavor of artificial watermelon. I did have some raspberry in my morning coffee, though."

"Nah... I don't think it's rasberry. Tastes a little like strawberry though..."

"I think you need to get your taste buds checked."

"Well. That's a possibility."

Sam pulled a tube of clear lip gloss out of her pocket. "Here. Don't eat it. It shouldn't have a flavor."

Jack read the tube of gloss.

"Well, as happy as I am to know they don't test on animals it doesn't have the ingrediants on here."

"I just meant that you could try it out and decide on the flavor for yourself in the privacy of a room that doesn't have a bunch of other people in it."

"And where exactly would this mythical uninhabbitted room be?"

Sam smiled at him. "There's always the bathroom down the hall."

"It's very obvious you've never walked near the men's room."

"This is true. It seemed safer." A bathroom used by nothing but teenage boys? Not getting her in there without a biohazard suit, thanks. "I have had an older brother, remember?"

"Yes, but he was only one. Take that and multiply it by the entire male population here."

Sam did the mental math on that and came up with, "Ewww."

"It's a big school, Jack. Find another room. I'll let you use my key to the assistants' lounge or something."

"You got a key? I was told to knock and try not to get killed."

"You're an assistant?" Sam tried not to sound quite so incredulous, really she did, but, Jack as a TA? She reflexively began listening for the "unauthorized off-world activation" klaxon to blare. "Whose?"

"CJ's. She made me. She also dragged me to class in my underwear this morning. Not nice."

"She dragged you to class in your underwear? And I missed it? Why???"

"Because I was asleep instead of in class and I guess she knows where I sleep now too."

"There's two ways to stop that from happening, Jack," she winked.
