6th Floor [A bit later Friday evening]

Having once again ~~conned a bunch of people into coming up here~~ assembled a crew of intrepid adventurers, Bridge is waiting in the 6th-floor hallway, armed with a flashlight and his knapsack full of supplies.

"Maybe it's the BFG. Ever hear the story of the BFG? It's like a fairy tale where I come from."

"The Big Friendly Giant?" Rory asked. "I loved that!"

"Yeah.. that's what I'm hoping anyway, and not the other one."

"The big unfriendly giant?" Cordy asked, now slightly giddy.

"That would be the other one, yeah. I hope it's the good guy."

"There's a giant here, too?" an all-too-familiar voice said near her ear. "Because I'd totally believe it."

Rory bounced happily as she turned to face Anakin. "Glad you made it okay. And isn't this awesome?" She frowned slightly. "And I hope there aren't any giants. I don't think my pepper spray will do much against them."

"This is pretty insane, yeah," Anakin said, eyes scanning the top of the table, the long way down, and the students who were gathered.

To his credit he only thought of pitching Logan off of the table just to see what would happen for a second.

Maybe two seconds.

Well, no longer than five seconds, anyway.

Logan glanced over at the new arrival and his eyes narrowed, but he didn't say anything.

Bridge glares sternly at the two of them.

Cordy rolls her eyes at all three of them.

Rory was obliviously peering over the edge.

"Whoa. Dizzy. Maybe I shouldn't do that."

Cordy looks over the edge too. "Er. Probably not the best idea, no."

Logan grasped Cordy's arm gently. "Yeah, let's back away from the deathly drop, shall we?"

Cordy smiled up at Logan. "You are very wise, sir," she said, as she followed Logan and stepped back from the edge.

"See, I was going for 'heroic' with a side order of 'sexy', but I guess wise will do." He rested his hands casually on her hips and grinned at her.

Anakin's not rolling his eyes.

Really.

Except for that he is.

"Okay, I'll give you 'heroic and sexy' this time, but let's be clear that you got those easy," Cordy said, grinning and kissing him quickly on the cheek.

"I'll keep that in mind," Logan said softly. He cupped her cheek in his hand and leaned in for a real kiss.

Anakin reached a steadying hand towards Rory and pulled her back. "Long way down," he said quietly. "Let's not check to see how fast I am at grabbing falling people, okay?"

"Okay," Rory said, stumbling back slightly and looking up. She smiled at Anakin. "Though at some point, we should test that out. Y'know, when no one's life is at stake."

"We could..." Anakin said, letting his hand drop from Rory's arm. "But I think I'd rather stick with practicing on things I don't really care about, just in case I miss. Rocks and stuff."

If his eyes were looking at all near Logan as he said that, it's totally coincidence.

"I just think hovering again would be cool," Rory shrugged, oblivious to any glaring or posturing going on.

Anakin pulled Rory another few steps away from the edge. "Another time, maybe?"

He peered over the edge himself. "When the fall's not quite this dramatic?"

"Okay," Rory said, already distracted by the wall. She tugged on Anakin's arm and pointed. "What do you think that is?"
