The gym, Tuesday after first period

Aeryn's babied injuries enough already. Basic fact of the matter is, she feels better. The bruising's not as bad, and therefore she can't care too much about it. So after getting the lecture in Advanced Criminal Justice, Aeryn heads down to the gym, just to start hitting things. Because she likes to hit things.

It should probably say something that he still ends up in the gym even if he knows he can't do all that much yet. When he steps inside and sees Aeryn already there, he's about to turn on his heels and run, though.

It's only when Aeryn pulls away from the bag a little that she sees Cameron, and she's not smirking. Really. "Running away so soon?"

He stops mid turn, but doesn't as ouch. "Uh, thought you might prefer no to... have me around."

Aeryn waits for explanation.

Cameron's blushing furiously and is looking down at his shoes as he blurts out an apology. "Look, I'm sorry for what I said the other night. I don't know what got in to me.Actually, I do. I took two of the painmeds instead of one and it went right to my head, but I'm still sorry because that was way out of line and I should have kept my mouth shut."

She was blaming the pain meds anyway, but she can't not tease him. "And here I thought you really wanted me to dress you in leather pants."

"No! Nononono!" Cameron says quickly, staring up at her in horror. "That was... God, that was way out of line. I never should have... Look, I'm really really sorry." Yeah, he doesn't get the teasing part so much yet.

"I know," she says, and is trying really hard not to smile. She's not exactly successful. "So... no threesome?"

"NO!" He says before it registers that maybe that is an actual smile and she is pulling his leg. He narrows his eyes and tilts his head a bit. "Not with John anyway."

Once she gets over the initial shock of that comment, she's kind of determined not to let him throw her. "No? Guess it can't happen, then."

Cameron's kinda surprised she hasn't killed him, or at least decked him for that comment. "Pity," he says with a grin and goes sit on one of the machines as he carefully takes off his sling.

He's supposed to be flailing by now. Instead, he's making it worse. "So no wild and free and pantsless, then," she says. She knows she's still teasing. She's not sure how it looks.

Sam, dressed in a pair of running shorts and a t-shirt, started one of the treadmills at a relatively slow but constant speed, trying to loosen up her calf muscle, but not tax it. She wasn't up to running yet.

She waved to Aeryn and Cameron, but didn't interrupt them.

On her way out stupid work, Aeryn gives her a nod hello and goodbye.

"Yo," Cameron gave her a wave.

"Morning," Sam said, perhaps a little more quietly than usual. "Some class today, huh?"

"It was interesting," Cameron nodded and closed his eyes as he continued the pendulum exercise for his shoulder.

"How're you feeling?" She asked, wondering exactly when the gym had become the place for physical therapy.

"Better. Swelling's down so..." He looked at her. "You?"

"That's good. Just don't push yourself too hard," Sam cautioned. "And I'm getting better. Stitches are out and the crutches are gone, so it's just getting back up to speed." She pushed the treadmill to give her a bit more of an incline.

"Don't push yourself too hard," Cameron teased and paused again. It sucked feeling this weak.

Sam laughed and stuck her tongue out at him. "This is definitely my least favorite part of fighting. What about you?"

"I think I prefer it over the waiting," Cameron said honestly. He took a deep breath and started his exercise one more time.

"Point." She looked over, slightly out of breath, calf muscle straining slightly. "I think you took a few years off my life when your comm died."

Cameron grimaced. "Sorry. I never saw that vampire coming. He was on top of me in a flash and I felt how I was losing the comm, but keeping him from biting my neck kinda took priority."
