At promply 6:00, Victor can be heard running up and down the stairs yelling "FREE FOOD! 3RD FLOOR!" Any who decides to investigate will find several tables full of various foods set up in the third floor common room. A delicious combination of smells wafts from the display, and several students are standing and waiting to serve you. The entrees are:

Table 1: Sweedish Meatballs, Various Pickled Herrings, and Pancakes

Table 2: Homemade Spaghetti with Garlic Bread

Table 3: Coq au vin (Basically rooster stew cooked with red wine)

Table 4: Cock and Bull Stew (Chicken, beef cubes, tomatoes, potatoes, spices)

Table 5: Warm Apple Pie (Whipped Cream optional)

Table 6: Rice Balls and Sushi, courtesy of Sakura! Yum!

There are a couple of unfolded tables just in case someone decides to add something to the buffet. There is also a table filled with disposable plates, cups, bowls, and utensils, as well as napkins. In the corner are a variety of bottled juices and sodas in an ice chest.

And, as promised, there are Twinkies. Boxes and boxes of Twinkies.

"Sundays, right? You should come by Cafe Fina after work on Sundays sometimes. I'll make sure you get the special price on our non-menu. Cerveza Quilmes, right?"

"That's the one." Nadia shrugged. "The store is open until midnight, but I get the feeling that's mostly just talk. We'll see."

"Midnight? You aren't walking back up to the school alone are you?"

Walter ducked his head. "Don't kick me. You know me about that."

Nadia glared. "Yes, I do. It's one of your less charming qualities."

And suddenly she blushed.

"But, no, Lucas offered to drive me back on his motorcycle if I didn't have anyone else with me."

Subject change. Yes. Good idea. "Did you meet Boone yet? He joined us at lunch?"

"Not yet." Yeah, that's a slightly shmoopie expression on her face. "I noticed someone new talking to you guys, but I was too busy to go say hi. Is he nice?"

"He seems it." Walter was very happy to see the schmoopy expression. "He says he's pretty boring, but he seemed nice. I'll introduce you two if we have a chance."

"Great!" Yeah, double shmoopie expression. "Boring around here is still pretty interesting."

"I thought so too. I think he's still trying to figure this place out, even more than we are."

Nadia winced. "Ooo. He's going to get a lot of headaches, then. He's a new student?"

"New like us. He said he's sixteen. He's spent the past six years or so in boarding schools, his family has 'some money.' Anything else?" He grinned and appeared to remember something. "His eyes are a very nice cerulean blue."

Nadia refrained from sticking her tongue out at Walter, but it was a near thing. "Is he gay?"

"I don't know, it's not as though we have something that says, 'I like guys' in special ink on our foreheads, but if I had to guess, I'd say no."

Yes, Nadia does now have a mental image of all gay men wandering around with an "I like guys" tatoo on their forheads. And yes, she's visibly amused by this. "Okay," she says. "I was just curious. When do we want to do the glitter thing?"

Walter cannot read minds and thus does not know the source of Nadia's amusement, instead assuming that it's related to the glitter.

"I have to talk to our locksmith ~~and Dewey~~, and I will let you know?" He grinned and said, "I will leave you a voicemail. You will get the glitter?"

Nadia nodded. "No problem. This will be great."

"It will be fun. I just hope we get a better reaction out of him than from 'it's a small world.' I thought it was a good idea, but maybe it was just too easy. I should have known better than to trust to computers."

Nadia smirked slightly. "They can be tricky."

"I have noticed that, but you would think that enlisting someone who knows them intimately enough to potentially date one would have been good enough. Maybe you are right and the principal just secretly loves the song."

"Or the principal had been enjoying some of Lucas' brownies,"

"Lucas' brownies..." Walter groaned. "Were those his fault? I thought it was the dizzy redhead to blame. And where is he anyway? I never did have a talk with him about at least warning people."

Nadia frowned. "You mean Mark? He and his band went back on tour. They were only helping out for a few days, I think."

"So was it Mark or Lucas who was responsible? I would be angrier, but it was my own fault for eating the brownies."

Nadia shrugged. "I don't know. I think Lucas said they were made by some guy named Eddie, but he didn't say who put them out." Nadia raised an eyebrow. "Let it go. Call it a learning experience. Don't trust brownies from people you don't know."

"Yeah, I know. I know. I got more than one learning experience out of the brownies, including the knowledge that Pink Floyd is much better after having eaten them, and that the movie 'The Wall' was probably a result of an overdose of them."
