4th Floor Common Room, Monopoly Game Night

Late Saturday afternoon, Isabel started preparing the fourth floor common room for Game Night. By the time the evening rolled around, the room was ready for fun. A table against the wall was loaded with an assortment of baked goods from Jeff, God of Biscuits and an assortment of chips and various dips. There was a cooler next to the table filled with bottles of water, fruit juice and cans of soda.

Four tables were arranged with Monopoly game boards and space for eight players at a table.

With everything ready she sat down to wait.

[OOC: Obviously we're not going to be rolling the dice for every turn. The game does need to end at some point tonight (preferebly before 5:30 in the morning). Hopefully there's enough links that you'll be able to fake it well enough to have fun. Game piece icons are available for the truly obsessed here at each of the tables. Please note that [livejournal.com profile] peter__parker has a special doggie icon he can use at whatever table he wants. Have fun!]

Nadia patted his hand. "I'm pretty sure that means you're only visiting."

Blair looked down at his hand and decided that jail wasn't all that bad.

Pippi is just leaving jail. She rolls a 5 and a 1. She waves to Blair.

"Bye! Have fun in jail!"

She lands on St. "Chuck's" and pays Jack. Bing a big spender she gives him $15 instead of $14.

"Keep the change kid, buy yourself something nice."

Jack would offer her the dollar back, but he notices Janet and Parker both eyeing him. So instead he gives her his most winning smile. And keeps the dollar.

"Fifty dollars, Blair," says Harkness, as he lands on Boardwalk. "Or do you want to work out a trade?" He passed up on hitting on one freshman. But two? That's impossible.

He's so distracted he forgets to roll again, and Janet doesn't bother mentioning it to him either. She just rolls, passes Go--and definitely grabs her $200--before landing on Community Chest. "I just can't get any property, can I?" she asks, before collecting another $200. "Bank error in my favor. Nice."

Blair waved his hands a little. "I'll just take the money man, I haven't really started exploring my homosexual tendencies yet."

Nadia flinched ever so slightly at the "yet" and aimed a Glare of Death (tm) at Jack.

He gave her a heart-struck look, batted his eyelashes at her, then blew her a kiss, and grinned, leaning back with his arms behind his head. "Nadia, beautiful, all you had to do was ask." What she had to ask, he didn't specify.

Parker kicked him on the ankle.

Nadia smiled sweetly, and instructed him to do something physically impossible and incredibly painful in Spanish.

"Would you do that for me?"

Jack looked thoughtful. "Not without somoene buying me dinner first."

Nadia couldn't decide whether to be vaguely appalled or vaguely amused.

So she stuck her tongue out at him.

Jack stuck out his back, then grinned, eyes dancing.

Parker rolls a four and a two, and *finally* passes Go, collecting her $200, and then lands on Community Chest. "Yes! Get Out of Jail Free!" Parker dances the card around her edge of the board.

Jack frowns. "Parker, didn't you used to deal cards in Vegas? Tell me you didn't palm that from the bottom."

Parker pouted at him. "Jack, would I do that to you?"

"Yes, you--" Parker kissed him fast before he could continue his indictment, then pulled away. "Who's next?"

Pip gets a five and a three. He moves to North Carolina Avenue and peels out the money. "Damn, I'm not landing onanything buyable," he said, giving the money to Janet.

Nadia rolled two fours and landed on Conn Ave. She glanced at Blair. "We're business partners, right? So I don't have to pay you rent?"

Re: Table 2 - GAME ON

[identity profile] lovechildblair.livejournal.com 2006-02-12 06:43 am (UTC)(link)
Blair debated what to do for a minute and then shrugged. "I would say no but that would be favoritism and not good buisness ethics and I could say no because we're going on a date tomorrow but then it's not respecting your equality in our relationship. So I'm afraid it's yes, you have to pay me rent."

[personal profile] nadiathesaint 2006-02-12 06:47 am (UTC)(link)
Nadia sighed and handed over the money. But, since they were business partners, that meant it was basically still hers, right? She rolls again.

One and One. She wasn't even going to try and talk Parker out of collecting rent. She handed over the ten dollars and rolled again.

Three and three. "Oh. That means I'm in jail, doesn't it." She moves her piece over and immediately starts plotting a daring jail break.

Blair frowned and looked down at the board. Tossing the dice and then shoving them to the side a bit he moves his dog over to a chance square on the board. "Oh, what rotten luck."

He picked up the card that read Advance to Go(Collect $200) and read aloud. "Go directly to jail. That stinks. Guess I'm stuck there."

Blair rolls his eyes at Parker. "No, we're victimized by The Man and we're not going to pay his blood money. Or yours. We're staying." Blair looked over at Nadia. "Or at least I am."

Pippi lands on Illanois and pays Pip.

"I shouldn't have to pay this Pip, your Illinois property has a leaky roof!"

Jack rolled double threes and chortled as he passed GO and picked up $200 on his way to Reading Railroad. Jack sighed as he paid Pip-- "We're running out of available property, and people willing to make interesting deals"-- and then rolled again to land on St. James' Place. "Home, sweet home." He grinned and flicked the dice over to Janet.

Janet caught the dice with barely any fumbling, and winked at Harkness. "Now's when the game gets interesting," she said. She rolled double fours and went to visit Blair and Nadia in jail.

"I've also got a Get Out of Jail Free card. Sale, trade, or promise of future favors?"
