Third floor common room, Wednesday night

Angela has a beautiful copy of Handmaid's Tale to flip through, a kitty curled up next to her and purring, a fresh episode of Vanessa Saturn to watch, and soda and candy to munch on.

Yet, strangely, she is not smiling. Perhaps it is just because she isn't on the FLOOR OF AWESOME, but she seems vaguely uneasy.

"Maybe. I didn't handle it well, so ..." Angela let her voice trail off. "It'll be over soon enough, right?"

A hint of a smile crosses Marty's face. "You two will work it out. I know you will."

"She can't just avoid me, anyhow," Angela shrugged. "One good thing about a little school and both working in the library."

She stretched her arms over her head. "I think I am going to go to bed. Want to walk me?"

Her dorm room is a hundred whole yards away, after all. There might be monsters.

Marty grinned, picked up Minerva and guarded Angela from the evil non-existent monsters on the third floor.

He also made sure she was tucked in safely and that there were no bed bugs to bite her as well.
