Fourth Floor Common Room - Saturday Afternoon

After hamming it up at play auditions, Shep brings the ferrets down to the common room for a change of scenery. He has his US History homework and his computer with the Sims on it. After channel surfing for a while he ends up with the VH1 Top Twenty Countdown on the t.v.

Come on in to bother him, but watch where you sit. :)

Han catches it. "Sex cultures just gets weirder, huh? First wedding now virgins. Any idea where he's going next?"

"Yeah, didn't *that* need to be done the other way around? First virgins, then weddings and then the sex. Isn't that the theoretical - okay, Puritanical - way it's supposed to be done?"

"You're studying about virgins now?" Lana refuses to reflect on her technical status in that matter. "That's kind of.. weird."

"Not a clue. Never met too many virgins." He nods at Lana. "Present company excepted." He gives her a smile. "Thanks for helping out."

Lana blushes furiously. "Yeah, sure, um... thanks? And you're welcome. At least I made it through ours without any issues."

"You're cute when you're bright red."

He looks at Shep. "She is still? You been trying to fix that for months."

Lana buries her face in her hands. Oh god.

"There have been some issues with timing." Shep clears his throat hoping Lana didn't get pissed.

She smiles up at him. "Which we'll work out sooner or later," she says to him very softly.

Purely for laughs Shep yells out, "See I have this roommate who keeps coming home... really ruins the mood."

Lana giggles. A dozen comments ran through her head, but she thought maybe discretion might be the better part of valor here. Plus she kind of wanted to hear what Han would say.

"Oh yeah, like I wouldn't be willing to help."

Lana kind of wishes she could be like that girl from that "The Brunch Group" movie and drop a hood to cover her face while meeping. She may have meeped in any case.

Shep shoves the side of his hand in his mouth and bites down.

There is no doubt in his mind that the first comment to spring to mind would get his ass *kicked* by Lana. He remembered hearing Ms. Cregg yell down the hall after someone one day, "So far up your ass!" and he can suddenly see Lana in that role.

"Marking with the teeth. Going for the Broken Clouds?" Han winks. "Thought marking with nails came first, and I thought SHE was supposed to do that."

"I'm avoiding getting my ass kicked by saying something supremely stupid. And what the hell's a broken cloud?"

Lana desperately wishes she knew what he was trying not to say. Though... if he thought she'd kick his ass over it... She might just be better off not knowing.

"It's YOUR copy of the Kama Sutra, pal. Broken clouds is when you don't leave a solid ring of teeth marks, just a few. Looks real sexy, right here." He gestures to a spot on his upper chest.

"Borrowing my books, are you? Besides, I just got it for the pictures. I mean, to do my homework. And we weren't supposed to look at that part for our homework. So I didn't. Yeah. That's it. Yeah."

"I don't think I saw that part when I -" Lana stops dead.

She didn't think Shep knew she knew about his copy of the book and she was *pretty* sure he didn't know about her and Kiki's little adventure with it. "Never mind," she said hastily, flushing red again.

Shep's sharper than that. When he wants to be.

"You didn't see that part when you *what*?" He tickles her a little. "Doing some advance recon?"

"I don't know what you're talking about," Lana says in a futile attempt to get out of this, then giggles helpelessly as he tickles her.
