Naturally, at this point Archie could only assume the Tick meant his dignity. After all, this had to be another one of his metaphors, right?

"It, er . . . was taken from us long before I truly learned to appreciate it for its full worth?"

"Beautiful words, Archie. RT would have liked it, I think," Tick said.

"She would have preferred being called a 'she,' though. She was a girl fish."

"I -- I'm afraid I'm not following your metaphor this time, Professor," Archie stammered.

"What metaphor?" Tick asked, seriously.

"You mean this isn't a . . ." Archie trailed off and finally managed to process his surroundings. "Oh, my God."

Not that he had remembered just yet to actually pull his pants back up.

"It's a memorial service, yes. There was a sign," Tick said, pointing to the door.

"So there was." Archie started edging toward the wall, stumbling a bit as he tried to pull his trousers back up in the process. "My sincerest apologies, Professor . . ."

"No apologies needed, Archie! The speech was great, especially considering the impromptu nature," Tick said, encouragingly.

"Thank you, sir?" he managed, fumbling his pants back up and edging into one of the other stalls.

He didn't flush, though. At the moment it seemed a bit disrespectful. He did, however, at least have the courtesy to wash his hands.
