"That thing you did last week, to see if people had powers?" Angela said, wiggling her finegrs to demonstrate. "Would that work with stuff people were born with, or was it only because there was a spell? There, um, might be something with me. Maybe. And I would kind of like to know, really."

"Well, it's aura-reading. And if you have some sort of ability, there'd be evidence of it in your aura, since it's part of you and all. I can check, if you want?" he asks.

"It shouldn't," Bridge says. "At least, no one's ever said as much to me." He takes off a glove and waves a hand in Angela's direction to make her aura visible.

He studies it for a few seconds before slipping the glove back on. "There's definitely *some* sort of psychic ability, there. It's not that strong, but it would explain why you can pick up on a ghost's energy."

Angela let out a breath she didn't realize she was holding. "Some psychic ability. Okay, I can deal with that. Thanks."

She smiled speculatively. "Maybe I should start playing the lottery."

"There's a handbook I haven't read?" Angela said in mock dismay. "I'm already behind."

A serious look crossed her face. "But you know how you're kind of getting stronger and moving things with your mind, now? Do you think I could do that, maybe, if I worked at it?"
