Second Floor Common Room, Friday Night

In absolutely no mood to start writing a bill for Government class, Sam decided to veg in the strangely empty common room. She was watching Wormhole X-treme and throwing a lot of popcorn at the television.

"Wormholes can't go two ways, you morons!"

Parker wandered back in after talking to Isabel, still in a *really* good mood, but no longer spastic. "Hey, Carter. And why can't they, anyway?" she grinned and stole a handful of popcorn.

Okay, so Anders got a little overenthusiastic when he called down to Ching Tai to order food for pickup. He heads into the common room, just about staggering under the weight of a large box of food, and sets it down on the counter.

"Chinese, anyone? I think this might be a little too much for just me and Cally to eat . . ."

"Anders!" Sam waved. "I haven't seen you in forever. What's up?"

"Parker!" Sam took a minute to look at the screen and boggled. "Time loop? Are you kidding me?"

She eyed Parker. "Do you really want to know, or are you just humoring me because I know how to use explosives?"

"Oh, you're kidding me," Bridge says, frowning at the television as he walks in.

Callisto wandered down to the common room. "Hey guys."

"Oh, thank god," Sam said. "Want some throwing popcorn?"

Alanna wondered into the common room, one loud mouthed cat missing from her shoulder.

"Hey, Callisto," Sam waved from her spot on the couch. "Happy Friday."

"Humoring you. Completely and totally humoring you." Parker grinned and folded herself onto the couch, munching on a handful of popcorn. "Time loop? What?"

"Hey, Faithful. Alanna." Parker cocked her head. "What has his tail in a twist?"

"Gimme!" Parker made grabby motions with her hands, grinning. "Soooo hungry. Thank you Anders," she added nicely. "Do you have lemon shrimp in there?"

"I could say the same, y'know, Carter," he replied, unpacking what seemed like dozens of little boxes of chow mein, vegetables, and various dishes. "I coulda sworn you were over at Bridge's last weekend for that drinking game, but my memory? Not so great by the end of it. What's up is I have a frakton of food here, and I feel like sharing. There's plates and everything."

He put aside enough of the food to last two people a couple of days, then turned and shoved his hands into his pockets with a grin. "Other than that, just class, homework, the usual."

Sam stuck her tongue out at Parker. "I'm not sure. The colonel and the alien are reliving the same three days over and over again. And they're the ones trying to figure out how to get them out of this. I predict that it'll take all season."

"Please!" Bridge says with a grin.

"I got a little of everything, so yeah. Should be," he said, pawing through the containers until he found one in particular, which he handed Parker with a flourish. "Aha. There."

Sam reached over and picked up a carton of shrimp with snow peas. "Are there chopsticks?"

"And, er, yeah, I was there for part of it, but I decided I wasn't in the right mood to keep playing."

"Foooood, yay!" Bridge chirps.

"Yay, Friday!" Callisto flopped down on the couch. "I didn't know you liked Wormhole X-Treme."

"Awesome, gracias, yum." She shook her head. "And wow, did you ever order too much. Want to watch Wormhole X-Treme with us?"

Sam passed the bowl over. "You wouldn't believe what passes for science on this show," she said, rolling her eyes so hard they almost fell out of her head.

Anders retrieved the pile of chopsticks from the bottom of the box and laid it out on the counter near the food. "Tell me about it. I'm still sorry I stuck around for almost the whole thing, 'cause wow, talk about awkward."

He grimaced. "Kinda hoping nobody else was sober enough to remember things right."

"And possibly into next. Because that alien guy's not stupid, but what's-his-name has all the focus of an ADD kid given CoCoPuffs." Parker shook her head in amazement, then cocked her head. "Waitaminit. Do these people know, about...?"

"I don't know if liked is the right word," Sam laughed, "but I have this weird obsession with it--I can't turn it off once it's on. It's like the black hole of television."

"Yeah, television writers are... on crack or something. Especially with old shows like this," Bridge rolls his eyes.
