Second Floor Common Room - very late at night until morning

In the wee small hours of the morning, Molly couldn't sleep. Not wanting to wake Pippi, she left their room to see if anyone else was awake this late. Or early. All the common rooms were empty, so once she made it down to the second floor, she decided to watch TV for a while.

Which is why anyone who came into the common room would find (a normal sized) Molly asleep on the couch with the TV still on.

"Sammie," she nodded, pretty sure they'd just covered that part. "Like you."

"Yes," Anders said with a sigh of resignation. "Except not really."

"Why not?"

Anders sat down cross-legged on the floor. "Well, see, you're a girl, and I'm a boy, and we have different last names, and people just call me Anders, and also I'm not from Earth and you are. At least, I think you are. Right? So we're sort of the same 'cause we kind of share a name, but we're not exactly the same."

Somehow, Anders thought, this was easier than explaining things to people his own age.

"I'm from Earth," Sam nodded, "it's the only planet in our solar system with people on it. And you're a lot taller, so we can't be the same person, but if we were clones, then it could happen, but we'd be exactly, exactly the same, except not always because sometimes people screw up."

And that? Was the sound of Anders's brain breaking yet again.

"Right," he said.

Outwitted by someone a quarter his height. He was never living this one down, was he?
