After talking about their day, Marty and Angela are busily making a fort out of all the couch cushions to protect them from the monsters that attack kids who have done bad things.

Marty is also armed with his de-cootying gun for extra protection.

"Okay, I'll turn it down!" Maureen pushed the buttons until it was very low, because it was Bitterwoman, and the dialogue was always the same anyway. "Ooo, fort. Who's going to come attack it?"

"I dunno! Marty says monsters are after him, but I haven't seen any. An' he gave me aloo-ma-num foil so I can make sure the aliens won't find me."

"That's important. Hiding is *hard*," Maureen said. She glared a little at Marty, then shrugged, because she can't remember what she was mad at him for earlier. "Marty the Moonie can fight the monsters, yay."

"You gotta be real sneaky," Krycek said, nodding.

"Yiss. Is Jakey hiding?" Maureen looked around for him. "Under his bed?"

"Jakey's sleeping," Krycek told her, pointing at the hallway. "In the room, 'cause it's quiet an' by the coffee maker thing."

"Ohhhhh." Maureen nodded. "He has to guard it from the aliens."

Krycek stopped making his fort, frowning more. "The aliens are bad and Jakey's little. It'd be real bad if they found him. He could get hurt or somethin'."

Maureen looked worried. "He could. Maybe he should sleep out here in the fort?"
