Logan was in the kitchen. Cooking. Because when you were in a kitchen, working with a blender, you could call it cooking. Even if the result was more beverage-y than food-y. It was practically summer, anyway. Perfect time for a cold iced drink. With tequila.

The television was playing "Annie".

"Exactly, a warrior should be able to find his inner chi - or whatever the hell you call it - without running into a thousand newbies," he might still sound serious, but the grin suggested that he was just joking. "Yeah, they're nice enough. And still so innocent and naive. I almost can't wait for Fandom to strikes them with the usual chaos."

"You just jinxed us," Veronica groaned. "I'm afraid to see what this island throws at us next."

"I'm telling you, jello dragons! Why won't anyone believe me," he sighed dramatically.

"Well, that's got potential," Veronica said. "We could have jello wrestling competitions in the aftermath. I'll make sure to have my bikini ready."

"Yes!" Cameron said a bit too enthusiastically. He cleared his throat when he realised it and waved a hand around to look a bit more casual. "I was discussing jello wrestling with Parker and she didn't think any of the other girls would be up for it."

"Well, it would be kind of sticky," Veronica pointed out. "But I'd consider it for a good cause. Of course, I'd expect the guys to also play."

Cameron held up his hands. "I already offered Parker to wrestle her if none of the girls wanted to. I'm recycable and all."

"Wow, that's mighty generous of you."

"I try," he nodded. "I'm willing to make a sacrifice for the good of the school."

"And we greatly appreciate the sacrifices you are willing to make," Veronica said solemnly. Cause, really, the image of Cam rolling around half naked in jello was pretty.

It wasn't like Cameron didn't have similar images in his head, really. Still, it might be an idea to change the subject. "I saw that you're doing a worshop this summer?"

"Yep. Photography. You gonna sign up and let me teach you a few things?" Veronica asked.

Cameron frowned. "I don't know if I'm the artistic type."

"Well, if you change your mind, I'd be glad to give you some pointers," Veronica offered.

"Thanks," he smiled. "I signed up for flight and wilderness survival for now. I'm not sure yet what else I'm going to sign up for."

"Why am I not surprised that you signed up for flight?" Veronica teased.

"I don't know, I usually keep my love for flying pretty well hidden. Maybe you're a mindreader? Or you've been practicing that private investigator stuff on me. Should I be worried?" He narrowed his eyes.

"Damn, you caught me," Veronica said. "I was hoping to expose all your deep, dark secrets."

"Really now?" Cameron raised an eyebrow. "And what would those be?"

"Your love of flying, for one thing," Veronica said. "And your addiction to 'The Smurfs' for another."

"That's so Archie's fault," he protested quickly, trying hard not to laugh.

"Riiiiiight," Veronica said. "I'm sure that the guy from the 19th century introduced you to a cartoon from the 80s."

"Yep," he leaned forward to make a very serious suggestion. "Maybe you should pull that investigator thing on him. I got an inkling that he might actually be an 80s cartoon addict."

"Don't you think it would be in bad taste for me investigate the guy I'm dating?" Veronica asked. Yes, she was aware of how hypocritical she was being and no, she didn't care.

"True," Cameron considered it. "It says that you don't trust him so that might be a bad idea. Then again, if he's been able to hide his Smurfs addiction this might actually be serious enough to break that rule. It'd be for his safety, no?"
