Second Floor Common Room: Friday Morning (around Nine-Tenish)

The nametag and pen stuffed under Jack's door were a bit surprising. Since he wasn't technically a new student, he compromised and just wore the name tag. If someone wanted to write his name on [his forehead or wherever] later, he wouldn't object. Combining nametags with shirtless day didn't seem like such a good idea: where were people supposed to stick their nametags once they stripped out of their shirts?

Shirtless, name tag stuck to the pocket of his black jeans, Jack was currently dancing in the kitchen. Yeah, he knew shirtless day didn't start until after dinner, he just didn't want to wait.

If you thought he was cooking, you wouldn't be wrong. No pancakes, but there's bacon, eggs, toast and coffee.

Lots and lots of coffee.

Greg blinked. "At least you kept the nametag," he finally said.

Z's feeling a little self-conscious all of a sudden. And cold. "Am I doing it wrong?"

"No," Greg said, blushing and looking away. "I'm just trying not to stare. It's rude and I am a gentleman who doesn't ogle the ladies." He glanced at her and grinned. "Glad I already know your name, though."

Z smiled at him. "Thank you for not staring. That's very nice of you."

"I've been trained well," Greg said, sighing and, with a glance around, peeling off his own shirt.

He shrugged. "Only fair, right?"

"Yes! We should all be shirtless." Especially if I have to be, went unsaid.

"What about unattractive people?" he asked. And then realized there weren't really any of those around.

"They have to be shirtless, too. Just in the privacy of their own rooms." Z hasn't run into any unattractive people yet, though, so she doubts they'll have to implement this policy.

"Good. That's fair," Greg agreed. "Isabel says this is a weekly thing."

"So I have to do this next Friday, too?" Z thought about it for a moment, then shrugged. "Heck, it'll be better than wearing that jacket in the summer."

"Or you could, um, not wear the jacket and wear something cooler?" Greg suggested mildly.

"I think I have to wear the jacket. Since it's a uniform and all."

Greg frowned. "I didn't get a uniform."

"You probably shouldn't have. I'm a cadet, in training to go into law enforcement. We have uniforms."

"You're like a cop?" Greg looked interested.

"Well, I will be once I finish my training. Now I'm just a student." She doesn't tell him she's in training to be a superhero, because Z seriously doubts Cruger will let her be a Power Ranger.

"Impressive," Greg said, raising a brow. "Kinda young, but impressive."

"Yeah, it's kind of an intensive training thing? I guess that's why they start us young."
