Third Floor CR, evening

Looking for something to distract himself from moping, Bel sprawled on the couch of the third floor common room, flipping through the channels of the TV. He settled on an episode of the History Channel's "Mega Diasters" series: West Coast Tsunami. Violence and destruction. Perfect.

"I suppose you don't believe in gremlins or sentient washing machines either," Bel snickered. Boy, was this kid in for a rude awakening.

"I met one of the resident aliens," Greg said. "So I'm starting to believe. And I heard about all of that stuff, but I'm dubious." He gave a grin. "One of those 'seeing is believing' people."

"What do you need for proof?" Bel asked, idly conjuring fire in his hand.

Greg stared, and then laughed. "So where are you keeping the lighter? Lighter fluid in the palm's an old trick, dude."

"Explain this, then," Bel said. He stood up, then shimmered away, disappearing from the couch and appearing on the other side of Greg.

Greg stared at where Bel had been, and then at him, and then back at the other couch.

He got up and walked the distance between the two couches, waving a hand around in the hopes of hitting a mirror or something.

"Okay, how?" he finally asked. "Because seriously. Demon?"

"Demon," Bel said, grinning. "I take it they don't have those back in San Gabriel."

"Not that I know of," Greg said slowly. "You don't look like a demon. Or, like, what I guess demons are supposed to look like."

"I have a human form and a demon form," Bel said. "I'd show you, but I don't want to scare the girls."

Greg nodded. "Right. Is there anyone here who actually looks like whatever supernatural thing they are? Aliens are cute blondes, demons are normal guys...what, am I going to find out that my roommate is some kind of pod person or something?"

"Could be, who is your roommate?" Bel said, smirking.

"Peter. Um. The one Jaye called Princess Peter," Greg said, raising a brow.

"That must be English Peter," Bel said. "I don't think she'd call the other new Peter 'princess.' Don't know if he's a pod person, but you never can tell around here."
