Third Floor CR, evening

Looking for something to distract himself from moping, Bel sprawled on the couch of the third floor common room, flipping through the channels of the TV. He settled on an episode of the History Channel's "Mega Diasters" series: West Coast Tsunami. Violence and destruction. Perfect.

Bridge smirks. "So, what's your take on psychics, then?"

"Like Miss Cleo? Scam."

Bridge frowns. "Who's Miss Cleo?"

"TV psychic. She's in jail now, I think," Greg said thoughtfully.

"Oh," Bridge says. "Well, they're not always scammers."

"Right." Greg rolled his eyes and leaned back. "With my luck, I'll meet a random psychic here, or something."

Bridge smirks again, and gives a little wave. "Not quite random."

Greg glanced at him. "Tell me you're kidding."

"I am so not."

"Prove it."

"Okay," Bridge says with a shrug, and takes off one of his gloves. He's quiet for a few seconds, and then he says:

"Demons? The hell? Everyone here is weird. I kinda miss San Gabriel, because I'm starting to think I'm going to turn in to a zombie if I stay here." He breaks off, then, and smiles. "Also, you have a crush on someone."

Greg stared.

And finally said, "Do not. And how did you do that, and why are you doing the Michael Jackson thing?"

"You do too. I'm not gonna tell or anything." Bridge says, putting the glove back on. "I can pick up psychic energy. Thoughts... auras, stuff like that."

"...freaky. What's with the gloves?" Greg asked, still frowning thoughtfully.

"Help block out most of the," he waves a hand vaguely. "So I don't always have to see and hear it."

"Cool," Greg said thoughtfully. "So. That's...weird. Are you just psychic or whatever, or is there more?"

"I'm training to be a Power Ranger," Bridge says, and points to Z. "She's on my squad, actually."

"Oh, so you're gonna be one of those cop things, too," Greg said, taking in the uniform for the first time. "So, are you allowed to take off the jacket in the summertime? Because she says you can't."

"We can wear civilian clothes, yeah." Bridge says. "I don't too often, at least, when I'm at school."

"Why not?"

"It's just what I'm used to, I guess." Bridge shrugs. "I mean, we're supposed to wear them when we're at the Academy, which is a school, and this is a school too..."

"...at my old school, I got stuffed in lockers," Greg said with a slight smirk. "Should I find someone to help me carry that out, since it's what I'm used to?"

"I dunno, are you planning on making a career out of being stuffed in lockers?" Bridge says.
