Sunday Evening - Fifth Floor Common Room

Peter was sitting on the couch with a bowl of popcorn in front of him and a box of cookies from J. GOB.  He'd found some Coca-Cola (and still couldn't get over the fact it came in cans now) and was flipping through the channels on the TV.

Oooh, war movie.  That looked interesting.  The planes looked familiar too.  Peter sat forward in his seat as the title rolled.  Rescuing Corproral Smith?  Did they make movies about World War II now?

OOC: open for all of course but especially [profile] saltandammo

"You could sing songs," Willow said. "Or ride around on horseback and see if anybody will joust with you in a non-deadly fashion."

"Can you play the harp?" Willow asked.

"That's so cool!" Willow said. "I took lessons with the recorder when I was a kid but that never stuck either."

"That's when I usually pull out a book," Willow said, indicating the one she'd brought with her. "Either that or review my notes from class in case there's a surprise quiz the next day."

"Oh! Um - " Willow tried to hide the college level textbook by sitting on it. "Nothing. Nothing interesting like knights and dragons and harps."

Willow grinned shyly. "Well now you have to, buster."

Willow blushed and giggled at that, though part of her was very tempted to look over her shoulder at the person he clearly had to be speaking of.

"Well, okay." She said. "I guess you got me."

She pulled the book out to show him. It was a chemistry textbook, appropriate for a college freshman.

"Chemistry for good and proper chemical causes," Willow said. She crossed her heart as part of the promise.

"Oh yeah," Willow said. "I'm much more on the side of trying to blow them up, if at all possible."

"Hitting them with tranq guns works too," Willow said.

"Kind of," Willow said. "Only more sleepy and less deadly."

"No, I don't hang out with werewolves any - um, I mean, I'm not much of a shooter by hobby," Willow said. "Besides, they shook everybody down for weapons when they got here."

"I sort of - um - knew one," Willow said. "It didn't end well."
