Dorm Hallways - Now Sixth Floor [Wednesday Evening]

Bridge is wandering the halls, waiting for the people he'd talked to earlier this afternoon. He's armed with his usual exploring gear, so anyone who'd been adventuring before would probably recognise what he's up to.

This particular slide had more curves in it than the last one and Dean let out a war whoop as they built up speed. About the only thing he wasn't sure about now was whether he liked it better in front or in back.

Dawn let out a very loud squeal of glee as they went around the curves and water splashed up at them. She buried her head against Dean's shoulder so it wouldn't keep getting into her eyes.

Being in front was scoring all sorts of points here, Dean thought as he felt Dawn pressing against his back.

The slide deposited them at the bottom with a large splash that soaked whatever bits of them had managed to stay dry up to that point. Dean grinned and shook his head sending water droplets everywhere.

"Ack!" Dawn scrambled to her feet and away from Dean so she wouldn't get wet, as if she wasn't soaking already. "You brat!"

"Sorry," Dean apologised, but the laughter bubbling up in his chest kind of ruined how sincere it sounded. "But you should try it -- I bet you could get some wicked spray going with how long your hair is."

"Just remember you asked for it," she laughed, as she held onto the ladder rail for leverage, bent over slightly, and shook her head as fast as she could.

Water droplets went everywhere, with enough velocity that they stung when they hit. Laughing, Dean ducked and tried to cover his head with his hands. "Damn, that should be registered as a weapon!"

Dawn stuck her tongue out at Dean as she gathered her hair into a ponytail, squeezed out the water, and tied it in a loose knot at the base of her neck. "Only if I wash it in holy water."

Dean grinned. "Your hair, and a few balloons, throw in a couple of super soakers and we'll have the market cornered on holy water delivery systems."

"Ooh! You know what we need? A sprinkler!"

Dean stared for a second then laughed delightedly. "Absolutely," he said with enthusiasm. He'd never actually had anyone who'd joined in with him when he was brainstorming this sort of thing, jokingly or otherwise. Well, aside from Sam, but that was different. Besides, Dawn was a lot prettier than his brother. Especially when she was all bouncy and excited. "Or, even better," he said, taking her idea and building on it, "a holy water sprinkler system. It could put out a fire and take care of a demon all at the same time. Would just need to come up with some kind of demon sensor that could activate it..."

She had been kidding, mostly, when she suggested the sprinkler, but now she began to think about it for real.

"I wonder if it could be triggered to actual malevolent demonic action, since there are lots of demons that actually just go about their business and don't deserve to be flash-fried," she said, thinking of Clem, "which is why just blessing the water supply wouldn't work. I mean, aside from the condensation factor, and wow, hi, dork. Oops."

"No," Dean objected, "not at all. I've never even considered blessing the water supply... You think big." He was pretty sure he was grinning like a total loon. "I like it."

"Thanks," she said, looking down at her feet, then muttering something that may have sounded like, "lots and lots of vamps on the Hellmouth."

"We had to learn to think big, because the bad guys always did. And do."

"You're good at it," Dean said, still grinning at her.

"Thanks," she said, a little uncomfortable with the compliment. "You're not so bad yourself."

"Thanks," Dean said, then in looking for something to say, blurted, "We should work on your sprinkler idea. Could really be something there."

"We should talk to Giles, then," Dawn said, "if anyone would know how to do it, he would."

"But not now, because, hey, water slides, and even demon killers need to take some time off."

"That they do," Dean agreed, looking around again. "Which one looks good to you?"

"You pick. I chose the last one."

"Right." Dean looked around and pointed out one at random. "Let's try that one."

"Okay." She headed off in that direction and started up the ladder.
