Stickbug Common Room: Afternoon

Since Jamie had no workshops today? He decided the best thing he could do was hang out in the CR and see what it had to offer. Granted it was a smaller common room than the dorms but it had a comformtable couch and a coffee machine.

What else do you really need?

Nadia had no workshops until tomorrow and was avoiding her own cabin so as not to have to deal with a certain French mercenary so she was wandering around the camp and stumbled upon Stinkbug.

She stopped in the doorway and looked in at Jamie. "Huh. You really do live in Stinkbug."

"Stickbug," Jamie corrected. "There's no stink here. Unless it's something your brought over from Squirrel."

"Squirrels aren't stinky. They're nature's ninjas. Stink--I mean, stickbugs do . . . what, lie around pretending to be sticks?"

"We camoflage ourselves," Jamie corrected Nadia with a little eye roll. "We're much stealthier than squirrels who are *so* not ninjas. They chatter incessantly and dodge traffic. Not exactly a bright animal."

Nadia raised an eyebrow. "Careful, or you might find yourself facing some squirrelly wrath."

"Hey John," Jamie said with a wave. "What's going on?"

"Not too much," he says. "Just enjoying the last days of vacation before my first workshop. How bout you?"

"Debating the relative merits of stickbugs vs squirrels."

"Stickbugs rule!" And he includes a fistpump with that shouted statement.

"Pretty much the same," Jamie said. "I don't have any workshops until tomorrow so I'm trying to keep my boredom in check."

"I feel like we should be singing kumbaya or something," John says. "Hold hands and be all camper like."

Tyler woke up -- whatever Dr. Troy had given him, it was helping him sleep -- and padded into the common room a little before noon.

"Hey Stickbugs," he said to Jamie and John. "And hey ... non-stickbug," he added, to Nadia. "So is anything going on yet?"

"Nadia's delusional and John and I both think AC/DC songs would be a better alternative to singing Kumbuya."

"I'm not delusional, you're just in denial."

Tyler blinked. "You think kumbaya is better than AC/DC? It's certainly music that soothes the soul."

"She's a squirrel and can't tell the difference between a stickbug and a stinkbug. What do you expect?"

"Hey stickbug!" John waves at Tyler. "Yeah, we're debating the merits of stickbugs versus squirrels."

Tyler scratched his forehead. "Usually, I would say squirrels. But this week? Strange affection for the stickbug."

"Good call," John says, giving Tyler a thumbs up. "We'll convince Nadia yet."

After having pastries with Willow at J, GOB, Peter wandered entered Stickbug's Common Room. "Hello fellow Bugs - but not the band."

"It's a beautiful, beautiful day," he said, grinning. "How's Stickbug life?"
