Flamingo Campfire - Wednesday Evening [around sunset]

Veronica has never started a campfire.

But that isn't stopping her from trying.

Anyone wandering in the vicinity of the Flamingo cabin will see her sitting next to the fire ring, laptop propped on a chair and open to a website with instructions on how to start a campfire, desperately attempting to follow them. People nearby may also hear her swearing to herself because it doesn't seem to be working.

Piper wandered outside. "Hey Veronica. What's up? I thought I heard you swearing."

"Do you know how to start a campfire?" Veronica asked, gesturing helplessly at the obviously not burning pile of wood in front of her. "I'm trying to follow the instructions," she indicated her laptop, "and it's NOT WORKING!"

Anakin walked up and grinned. "Having problems?" he asked.

Veronica looked up and smiled. "Hey! Welcome back! Do you know how to start a campfire?"

Piper waved. "Hey Anakin. Welcome back."

Xander came walking back to Flamingo from the direction of school, his own laptop under his arm, well after they'd got the fire started. "Hey, bunkmates-except-not-like-that."

"Hey, Xander!" Veronica said. "Anakin got a fire started and we have stuff to make s'mores."

Piper smiled and waved. "Hey Xander."

Bridge? Totally wandering by. Can't imagine why he'd be all the way over here, really.

"Hey!" he waves. "This a Flamingos-only campfire or are members of any random cabin allowed?"

"Hey, Bridge!" Veronica waves back. "You're more than welcome to join us. We're going to make s'mores!"

Xander looks up from poking at s'more fixings and grins. "Warning, Junior in the vicinity. Hide the sekrit world takeover plans!"

Chloe peeked her head out of her alcove at the sound of warm chocolate and marshmellow food being discussed. "Did I hear mention of s'mores?"

Veronica grinned. "We're making s'mores! Come out and join us. We can commisserate over the woes of teaching our former classmates."

"Hey Chloe!" Piper greeted. "Making s'mores? Totally my idea."

"Nope, sorry, none left. I ate 'em all," Xander tried, looking as truthful as he could possibly look for a guy sitting next to the as-yet-un-cooked s'more fixings.

Callisto wandered over and flopped down by the fire. "Hey."

"Hey," Veronica said, giving Callisto a little wave.

Piper waved at Callisto. "Hi."

"Hey, Cal." Xander waved a marshmallow-topped stick.

"Hey." Parker sat down near enough to Callisto to keep their converstaion semi-private, but far enough away to run if she had to. "So. I saw Broodboy's e-mail. Did you guys get that worked out?"

After a really difficult day of ... doing nothing but play with her rabbit and hang out in a coffee shop, Parker did another reconnaissance of the camp and ended up at Flamingo. "Hey, guys."

"Hey, Parker." Xander waved, then looked round to see if he had any milk to distract her with if she started bogarting his innuendo again. Alas no; he'd have to settle for marshmallows.
