Seahorse common room, Thursday evening

After ~~handwavily~~ running errands and getting stuff done for once, Jaye comes back to the cabin, and the common room. With coffee.

What? It's completely innocent. People needed coffee, and who is she to deprive them of that? It has nothing to do with signs, seriously.

In reality, one day Jaye's just going to stand in the middle of the common room and demand shirtlessness and see what happens.

"True," Rory said, nodding. "Have you gotten to see any boykissy yet?"

This thought JUST occurred to her.

"I have not witnessed it. Now I will demand it."

"Pictures?" Rory asked hopefully.

"Oh, hell yes. I wonder if video cameras can be installed..."

"What makes you think they aren't already," Rory said. "By the way, I would have called you yesterday when all the boys were shirtless in my cabin, but ~~you were AFK~~ my phone was dead. It was pretty."

"There were many shirtless boys at one time, wtf!" says Jaye. "NO ONE CALLED ME."

"I am very sorry," she said sincerely.

Jaye pouts. "I've only seen two of them shirtless, you know," she explains.

"Two of the people who were in my cabin, or two from yours?" Rory asked.

"Mine," says Jaye. Pouting. Still.

"You haven't been trying hard enough. Alec was just walking around half-naked yesterday," Rory told her.

Jaye points at Alec. "All I had to do for that was point at a sign."

"He's kind of...easy," she said quietly, because she didn't want to hurt Alec's feelings.

"Yeah, but I kinda like him like that," Jaye says, in a normal voice.

"I do too," she agreed, also in a normal voice because that was a compliment and probably wouldn't hurt Alec's feelings.

"He knows nothing about coffee, though," she says. "Don't worry, I am doing my best to change that."

"He WHAT?"

"They don't have coffee in the future. Not really."

Wow, sometimes Jaye is mean.

Rory seriously might cry.

"I said I'd stock up for you and Jakey!" she says, because she did.

"I should start sto - wait." Rory frowned. "Bridgey has coffee from the future."

"Different futures?" she asks. "Maybe in nine years there's no coffee but then we get it back?"

"I like that. But who would be mean enough to take our coffee?" she asked, looking very sad again.

"Government? Maybe they're trying to make us more docile by taking away our precious caffeine."

"I knew they were corrupt," Rory said suspiciously.
