Camp Gym, Monday Evening

Feeling restless, Bel headed for the gym to work off some excess energy. He warmed up by abusing the punching bag, then picked up one of the wooden practice swords and began to practice some moves. Of course, it would be more fun to practice against a real opponent.

Bel caught the motion of the sword and dropped low, letting it pass over his head. At this point he might've cheated and shimmered behind Peter, but he fought off that urge and instead jabbed upward towards Peter's stomach.

"Peter," Walter said with a smile and nod. "How has your camp experience been so far?" Just a friendly smile there, no twinkle or smirk at the thought of any underwear on any flagpoles. Nope.

"It's okay, I guess," he said. "Can't wait to get back to the dorms, though. You?"

"It goes," Tyler said. "I kind of had a date last night. That was fun. What about you?"

Peter threw himself backwards to avoid Bel's thrust omg not dirty. He danced a bit to the right and then feinting high towards Bel's shoulder, he reversed his blow to a thrust at his thigh.

"I've been quite enjoying myself, actually." That slight pinking on his face is nothing but exertion as he gets moving on the treadmill. "You haven't been caught up in the prank wars, have you?"

"All to the good, thus far," Peter said, returning Walter's smile with nothing but equanimity behind it. "And how has yours been progressing?"

Walter fiddled with the controls on the treadmill, trying to find a setting that was sufficiently vigorous. "Overall I am enjoying my first summer camp experience quite a lot, although I would like to know what poison ivy looks like before I encounter it."

"Poison ivy?" Peter asked. "Sounds like a good thing to avoid. Do you know what it does?"

"It causes a very unpleasant-looking rash." Walter said, and shrugged as best he could while running. "Rory showed it to me. She says it grows out here in the woods and looks rather like normal ivy."

"Koala has been happily prank-free," Bel said. "How about your cabin?"

"Who'd you go out with?" Bel asked curiously. "Me, I'm finding it a little too quiet these days. Something's bound to happen soon, though."

"We haven't had any problems with pranking," said Walter with a broad grin. No problems at all - their prank had gone off without a hitch.

"What has you so anxious to get back to the dorms?"

Bel slid to his right to avoid the thrust to his thigh and you call that not dirty?. He spun right, bringing his sword down toward Peter's back.

"Privacy, mainly," Bel said. "Hard to have some time with just me and Phoebe unless we want to risk bug bites and poison ivy. Plus the dorms seem more social to me."

"That's understandable. Nadia and I both have roommates, so privacy isn't something we get back in the dorms, either, but I can understand your missing it."

Peter turns enough to take the strike on his side instead of his back, but it's a palpable hit. He disengages and salutes with a grin. "And a well-struck point to you, Bel."

"I'm used to having a room to ourselves," Bel said with a grin. "So how are you and Nadia doing anyway?"

Walter grinned like a doof in answer. "We're doing well."

"You're good," Bel remarked, taking a step back and adjusting his stance.

"That does sound like fun..." Peter said doubtfully. "Best of luck avoiding it. Anything else interesting going on?"

"Cool," Bel said with a grin of hiw own. "Good to hear."

"As are you," Peter replied. He took a step or two before sending his blade flying towards Bel's side.

"Just camp living. Campfires and hiking in the woods. I think I saw a talking moose and squirrel two days ago, but I might have been confused."

"A talking moose and squirrel? I can't say I doubt it around here." Peter said with a grin. "Did they say anything interesting?"
