Camp Gym, Monday Evening

Feeling restless, Bel headed for the gym to work off some excess energy. He warmed up by abusing the punching bag, then picked up one of the wooden practice swords and began to practice some moves. Of course, it would be more fun to practice against a real opponent.

Peter figured that he ought to get some real drilling time in today so he wandered into the gym as well. He nodded to Bel as he started his own warm up.

Bel paused to watch Peter for a few minutes. "Care to spar?" he asked.

Peter grinned. "With another swordsman? I'd love to. Till a time or until one calls out?"

"How's your stamina?" Bel asked with a grin of his own. "How long you think you can go?"

"I'm not too concerned about it," Peter replied. "Let's see how it goes then."

He moved onto the mats, saluting Bel with his practice sword.

After the Stickbug planning meeting, Tyler stopped in at the gym and started a weight circuit, nodding a greeting to Bel. "Hey."

"How's it going?" Bel asked after he'd finished sparring with Peter.

"Not a bad day," Tyler said. "What about you?"

"Bored, mostly," Bel said. "No workshops today, nothing to do. So I came in here to get rid of some pent up energy."

Peter raised his sword to Tyler in salute post-sparring with Bel. "Stickbug brother, we meet again."

"Yep," Tyler said. "Nice form out there."

"Thanks," Peter said with a grin. "It's nice to have a sword in my hand again."

Alanna at the gym. Alanna at the gym beating up the punching bag. Shock.

"Hey Alanna, Faithful," Bel greeted them.

"Have you noticed that we seem to almost always run into each other at the gym?" Alanna wondered. Faithful snorted and tried to find somewhere comftorable to nap.

"Almost like we both enjoy abusing the punching bag," Bel said. He warily eyed Faithful, remembering the cat's laughter a few nights before.

Peter saluted Alanna when he saw her.

Alanna nodded at Peter and began to methodically beat the bag up.

Walter came in to the gym with some excess energy to work off. He started with some stretching before moving on to the treadmill.

What a boring piece of machinery.

"Hey, Walter," Bel said as he came in.

"Hi, Bel. How are you enjoying camp so far?" asked Walter, reminding himself that hot shirtless males were not on the menu.

"It's okay, I guess," he said. "Can't wait to get back to the dorms, though. You?"

"Good evening, Walter," Peter said with a nod.

"Peter," Walter said with a smile and nod. "How has your camp experience been so far?" Just a friendly smile there, no twinkle or smirk at the thought of any underwear on any flagpoles. Nope.

"All to the good, thus far," Peter said, returning Walter's smile with nothing but equanimity behind it. "And how has yours been progressing?"
