It's been a good day.

He's been having a few of those lately and he's not one to ignore good days. He knows they can evaporate quickly and without warning.

So, he's enjoying the warm day outside. There's a cup of tea near his elbow and a smile on his face.

Hermione hasn't seen Cedric lately, so when she sees him while walking, she decides to stop by, at least for a little while. "Hi," she says.

"Hermione," he says, smiling up at her. "How are you? You've been scarce lately."

"I've been around," she says. "Just not nearby. The library, mostly."

"The library?" He smiles and tilts his head. "I'm not surprised. How is this school's library?"

"It's good," she says, maybe a bit enthusiastically. "It's a really thorough selection and they have so many different subjects. Special Collections had a genie."

"A book on genies?" Cedric asks, sure he'd heard that incorrectly.

"No, there were books, and there was a genie. Two very different things," she corrects.

"A genie?" Cedric makes a face. "What was he doing in the library?"

"Giving out wishes?" she answers. "And manicures, though that was very odd."

"Hogwarts didn't have a genie, did it?"

"Not as far as I know, but I was only there for four years," she says, considering this.

"Ah. So, what do you think?"

"Of Special Collections? Interesting," she says. "It has a better selection than the rest of the library, but the downside of having the walls trying to crush us."

Jack had had a good, if lazy, day and when he spotted Cedric, he crossed to sit next to him.

"Evening, Cedric." Jack smiled as he sat down. "Did it end up being a good day."

"It did," he says, picking up his cup and offering it to Jack. "After seeing you this morning, I walked around town some and came back and enjoyed the day. Yourself?"

Jack accepted the cup and took a sip. "This is the second time I've had tea today," he said, smiling slightly as he returned the cup. "Thanks. And I did pretty much the same. No workshops today?"

"Tea is addicting," he says with a grin. "No workshops today. Tomorrow and Friday. I believe...we even have a class together tomorrow."

"Tea is addicting. I can see myself wanting it a lot more in the future," he said, bumping his shoulder against Cedric's. "And we do. We have sex-ed. I have to admit that I suspect it's more 'entertain the teacher' than 'educate the students'."

"You think?" He smiles and leans against Jack easily. "I'm sure some of the students get some sort of educational experience out of it."

"I do," he replied. "There's something very appealing about it." Jack slid an arm around Cedric. "And maybe. Even if they don't, it's still an amusing way to spend an afternoon."

"I'll have to make sure we have a stock of tea in the cabin and in the dorms then," he says, settling closer to Jack. "Yes, it is. And, if she gives homework, I'm sure that will be amusing and fun as well."

"That would be good, if you don't mind sharing." Jack was fighting a grin as he added, "And being in the same class, we could help each other with our homework."

"I don't," he says and turns his head to look at Jack, a smile already on his face. "My thoughts exactly. I'm always up for some extra help, if it's needed."

"You might find me appearing at your door on a regular basis, then." Jack tipped his head towards Cedric, grin escaping. "And while I'm there I'd be happy to help you with anything you'd like. Not that I think you'd need much help."

"You're welcome there anytime," he returns. "Anytime."
