Flamingo Camp Fire (unlit) - Friday Late Morning

Veronica had *handwavily* crashed on Weevil's couch after work last night since it was storming and she didn't feel like walking all the way back to camp in the rain. She assumed Archie hadn't made it because of the weather.

After taking a shower and brewing a pot of coffee, she decided to sit outside and enjoy the now much more tolerable weather.

"Greece," Joxer said. "Ancient Greece, in fact."

"Oh," Veronica said, glancing over at Callisto who's player is sleeping. "That's where Cal is from, too, I think."

"We're pretty close, time-wise," Joxer said. "But not exactly."

"And how are you adjusting to life in Fandom?" Veronica asked.

"Well, the technology is still a little beyond me," Joxer said. "But I'm just as mighty as ever."

Veronica smiled and glanced over at Archie who's player is also AFK. "If you need any help with the tech stuff, let me know," she offered. "I've gotten pretty good at showing people the ropes."

"Well, I know about ropes," Joxer said. "I'm not from a time that primitive."

There was a pause as Veronica mentally facepalmed.

"It's an expression," she explained. "It means that I can show you how to use some of the technological equipment we have, if you're interested."

"Oh, that," Joxer said. "I'll keep it in mind. I've still got to set up an answery machine when I get back to the dorms."

"Do you know how to use the phone?" Veronica asked.

"I used one yesterday," Joxer said with a smug grin.

"Good for you," Veronica said, flashing an amused look in Archie's direction.

"So what workshops are you taking?" she asked Joxer.

"How to be an Entertainer and Wilderness Survival," Joxer said. "How about you?"

"I'm teaching, actually," Veronica replied. "Photography. I just graduated from Fandom High last month."

"Oh, wow," Joxer said. "Congratulations." He paused for a moment. "What's photography?"

Veronica paused to try and figure out how to explain photography.

"Um, it's taking pictures," she said. "Kind of like painting, but a lot faster and more accurate," she explained. "Hang on, I can run in and grab some photographs to show you."

She went in to the cabin and came back a few minutes later with a handful of pictures: her & Archie's prom picture, the long ago homecoming picture of her, Duncan, Logan and Lilly, and a picture of her with Piper and Chloe.

She handed them all to Joxer.

Joxer looked at all the photographs. "Well, that's amazing," he said. He handed the pictures back. "I'm guessing some sort of machine makes them?"

Veronica nodded. "It's called a camera," she said. "You should sign up for my workshop next session. I'll teach you how to use one and you can take pictures of your friends and other things you want to remember."

"I'll keep that in mind," Joxer said. He then looked around and stood up. "Well, I should find my way back to my cabin."

"Good luck," Veronica said. "It was nice meeting you."

"Nice meeting you too," Joxer said. He waved before wandering off.
