Basketball Practice, Gym, Friday Afternoon

There are basketballs. There's a shiny court. There are two stacks of t-shirts, one solid blue, one solid gold, and signs asking players to pick a color and pull it on.

It's time to practice.

Peter tried a few shots himself, none of which went in. "I think we'll be the guys on defense, hmm?" he said to Jamie.

Tempe stood, did some stretches, and then grabbed a ball.

She practiced her free throws, many of them actually making it into the basket.

"Nice," Tyler told her.

He stood next to her and subtly copied her form. "I have better luck when I twist my wrist like this," he said, demonstrating.

Greg, as per usual, made several neat shots before tripping over a shoelace.

He glanced around to make sure no one saw.

GOB is on the sidelines, watching the kids play and sometimes yelling something about a triangle.

Yes, he's wearing a suit. Basketball coaches wear suits. And he'll only answer to "Coach," because that's what basketball coaches are called. He's done his homework.

Have I mentioned I haven't played basketball since high school gym class? But I went to a big basketball college (go Terps). Watching counts, right?

Willow? In the stands. She'd brought a security book with her because you never knew when you might need to pretend you were just a girl reading a book.

But she was not so much reading as watching the boys play.

She may have also had a hankerchef on her person.

Once she's done with lunch, Pippi ambles over to the gym.

Seeing as how she's a cheerleader now, she should probably get an idea of what and who she'll be cheering for.
