Fifth Floor Common Room, Sunday Evening

After shimmering his and Phoebe's belongings -- and the kittens as well -- back to the dorms, Bel wandered down to the fifth floor common room. He sprawled on the couch and turned on the TV, flipping through the channels until he landed on "The Raven 4: Evil Benediction." The movie was making him nostalgic for Angelus for some reason. While it was good to be "home" and have privacy again, the attic was decidedly unsocial and he couldn't wait until he and Phoebe could move to one of the lower floors.

Marie spotted Bel lounging in the common room as she hauled her own belongings back to her room. Once she'd dumped everything on her side, she decided to go bug him, since it had been a few days since she had.

"Hi!" she greeted him cheerfully.

"I see Veronica let you live," Bel observed.

"I don't get what the big deal was," Marie said, rolling her eyes. "Is she always wound that tight?"

Nadia had closed down Empire early so she could move back into the dorms in the evening. After dropping an unhappy Furrball (who had loved the cabin) and her backpack off in her room, she wandered into the common room.

"Hey Bel, Marie, what are you watching?"

Marie shrugged. "I dunno, not really paying attention," she replied. "But the bad guy is kinda cute. How are you?"

"Okay, I guess. I had to work today, so I'm pretty bored. You?"

"Some movie about some guy who comes back from the dead to avenge his girlfriend's murder," Bel said. "And the bad guy is hot."

"Huh. Exciting." Nadia sounded like she might not mean it. "That guy is kind of cute," Nadia indicated the bad guy.

Hey, just because he was currently ferret-shaped didn't mean he couldn't wander around the dorms.

Which is why Bridge comes skittering in to the fifth floor common room.

Despite what people may think, just because a girl is from the South doesn't mean she's not afraid of tiny, furry animals.

Which would be the reason Marie shrieked and jumped up on the common room couch when Bridge skittered into the room.

The fact that she and Willow had broadcast his ferret-ness on Friday didn't cross her mind.

"Hi Bridge," Nadia said when she spotted the ferret.

She really hoped it was Bridge and not, say, some random person's pet.

Bridge tilts his head at Marie.

Bel blinked. He'd heard some stuff on the radio, but.... "Bridge?" he asked.

"There you are," Xander says, crossing his arms and trying to look stern.

Conner still had his stick, and he was making his rounds of the dorms. He was still a Man on a Mission.

So, despite the presence of people in the fifth floor common room, he marched in and immediately started poking at the air in all the corners, behind the furniture, and under tables.

"Doctor O?"

Never mind that Doctor O wouldn't be allowed on the fifth floor; if he was invisible, how would anyone know if he was, anyway?

Hey, it made sense to Conner.

"Conner?" Marie asked, giving him a confused look. "What are you doing?"

"Um, I'm pretty sure there isn't a Dr. O here."

Piper wanders into a common room because she is bored. She waves when she spots people. "Hey."

"Hi Piper!"

"Hey, Piper," Bel said, checking to see if she had any brownies on her.

Marie waves back. "Hello person I haven't met yet."

Xander came in, looking around and frowning. "Anybody seen a ferret who doesn't know the meaning of 'wait right here while I get the door unlocked?' "

"I think Bridge is running around here, somewhere."

Marie nodded and tried to pretend she hadn't totally freaked when Bridge came in the room.

"He's over there," she said, pointing.
