Gym - after lunch

CD-player and mats were in place, as Buffy waited for the other cheerleaders to arrive. She was hoping Alec would be better today, the poor sick kitty. She kept glancing towards the bleachers like she was waiting for someone.

Once some/all the cheerleaders had arrived, she got up.

"Next Saturday is the first Gremlins game!" Buffy announced, beaming. "So we have to start practicing really, really hard!"

Elizabeth opened her bag and oulled out a camera. "I just came from photography workshop," she said, her face a picture of innocence.

"How very convenient!" Sam said, equally innocent.

"That's what I thought," Elizabeth said, as she focused the camera to take several shots.

"Those had better not be blackmail photos," grumbled Janet from where she'd sat down to talk to them.

"Not at all," Elizabeth assured her, smiling. "Hey."

"I don't believe you," said Janet, also smiling. "How's it going?"

Elizabeth stuck her tongue out at her. "I've never had to resort to blackmail. And if I did, I'd do better than pictures of cheerleading," she said, still smiling. "Not too bad. Bit disappointed with the choice of pudding..."

"Don't talk to me about pudding," Sam muttered. "I'm just glad I didn't get hit with the pistachio the way Anakin did. I never would have gotten all of those out of the motorcycle."

"What did you and the bike get hit with?" Elizabeth asked curiously.

"Chocolate pudding."

Elizabeth tried not to snicker as she took another mouthful of coffee.

"Fine, you're just going to embarrass me with them some day down the road instead. Please tell me you didn't get any pictures of me bouncing around like a demented blue and gold kewpie doll." Janet stuck her tongue out at Liz in return. "The pudding yesterday was good, at least. Isabel was hoping for banana, though, but maybe we'll get that tomorrow."

"No, I didn't," Elizabeth promised. "Ew. I won't be going outside if it is, which isn't good considering I have to be for my workshop. I'd rather have French vanilla or lemon."

"I won't be going outside during a rain of pudding anyway," said Janet. "Not if I don't have to. Damn, I think Wilderness Survival is tomorrow, though."

"I have Leadership and Outdoorsmanship. I think the second part of it says all," Elizabeth said, nodding, before taking a mouthful of coffee.

"Good luck wading through pudding," grimaced Janet. "It could be worse. Cal makes us go shoeless for Wilderness Survival."

Elizabeth tried not to giggle. Really. "We've just got minicomps we'll need to be careful with. Although they might be pudding-proof. Who knows?"

"I really hate you today," said Janet, propping her elbows on her knees and resting her chin in her hands. "Are they futuristic? Maybe science of the future has learned a way to pudding-proof their machienery.

Elizabeth pouted. "Now, I'm sure you don't mean that," she said. "They look like it, yeah."

"Of course I don't," said Janet, eyeing Liz's mouth. "They look pudding-proof or futuristic?"

Elizabeth grinned. "Futuristic. I don't really know what pudding proof looks like."

"The only thing I can think of is that they'd be wrapped in plastic," confessed Janet. She glanced down, then up at Liz. "Do I look like an idiot in this thing?" she asked.

Elizabeth looked Janet up and down. "No. Absolutely not," she said, shaking her head.

Janet tried to tug the skirt down again. And failed again. She smiled wryly at Liz. "Okay," she said. "I'll take your word for it." She didn't look certain, though.

Elizabeth pulled her eyes away from the skirt and smiled at Janet. "Good idea!"
