Gym, early morning

After waking up and realizing that she'd missed three whole days of practice, Buffy ran down to the gym to work out like woah. Said work out consisted of a lot of jumping and doing cartwheels inbetween yelling "GO GREMLINS!"

ooc: Gym is open!

"Nah," Peter said with a grin. "We've agreed to be civil about it. Besides, Pippi and Nadia have a plan for a gang of 'footie hooligans' so I don't think they want to offend any of the football followers too badly. I'd watch out for them though. I heard tell of shirtlessness and body paint."

"Somehow I feel like I should be really, really scared of that," Conner replied. "Watching out. Got it."

"I am definitely. I don't mind finding a Union Jack to wave, but I think body paint is beyond my comfort level." Peter paused then asked curiously, "so why is Brasil your team instead of the Americans?"

Conner shrugged. "Oh, I root for 'em too. But they're just not quite up to the same level as Brazil, or most of the other countries in the competition, you know?"

He was scowling a little bit as he drummed his fingers on his soccer ball and rambled on, "Not enough people in this country really appreciate the game, and there aren't enough opportunities for people to really play past youth league level, so nobody takes it all that seriously, and it drives me nuts. I mean, come on, MLS? They're okay, but the play level is so not up there. When I start up that kids' soccer camp, that's one of the things I want to work on."

"That's a valiant goal - no pun intended," Peter said. "If you can start raising the level of play in the country maybe they'll start being more competitive on the world stage."

"Yeah, that's it exactly," Conner answered. "And it's a great way to try and help keep kids out of trouble too."
