[Second Floor CR, Saturday Evening, AFTER-GAME PARTY]

After the game, the second floor common room could be found bedecked with gold and blue streamers and a banner hanging on one wall that said "GO GREMLINS" in large letters.

There were also set up tables with food and drink so handwavily set up by the cheerleaders and a stereo playing the cheerleaders' practice music mix at an acceptable volume.

It was a victory party! No matter who won.

"Nice cheering," said a familiar voice in Isabel's ear as someone sidled up behind her and pressed a kiss to her cheek. Then Greg shot her a cheeky grin and grabbed a cookie.

"I made a basket! Did you see?" he asked, way too excited over making a single basket, really.

"I did. I cheered," Isabel assured him. "There might have even been a kick or two when it happened."

"Kicks? Oooh. And that's how I know it was a good shot," Greg declared, grinning. "Kicks are special."

"Good to know I didn't suck too badly." Greg smiled. "By the way? As your boyfriend, and moreover, a person with eyes, I am morally obligated to tell you that the uniform? Very hot."

Isabel blushed and once again tried to smooth the skirt down. "I still think it's too short. But I'm glad you like it."

Greg smiled and draped an arm around her shoulders. "Well, you could wear a burlap sack and I'd still think you're gorgeous," he said quietly.

"Now," he continued, "what are we looking at in terms of celebrating our defeat?"

And there was more blushing. "Burlap's itchy," Isabel said leaning into his side. "But thank you."

"Well your coach said something before the game about winning and going home with both a cheerleader and your girlfriend? So I think you're doing pretty good right now for being on the defeated team," she laughed. "But seriously? Whatever you'd like."

"Gah! Creepy guy being right? Is just wrong!" she laughed. She tilted her head to look up a him. "We could hang out here for a while. Then go up and watch a movie or something if you'd like. I've got the last season of Mr. What downloaded."

"Actually I need to thank Buffy for that," she admitted. "But I think she knew I would be a very unhappy cheerleader if I was rooting for the other team."

"Not really," Isabel grinned. "He scored a basket so he's pretty happy about that. And apparently he likes the cheerleader uniform." She smoothed down the short skirt. "Go figure."

"i have to say this is a new experience for me." Tim said. "Where I come from ordinary guys like me don't usually get to talk to cheerleaders, much less count some of them as friends."
