After the game, the second floor common room could be found bedecked with gold and blue streamers and a banner hanging on one wall that said "GO GREMLINS" in large letters.

There were also set up tables with food and drink ~~so handwavily~~ set up by the cheerleaders and a stereo playing the cheerleaders' practice music mix at an acceptable volume.

It was a victory party! No matter who won.

"That was the right thing to say," Willow told him. She gave him a kiss on the cheek.

Peter grinned. "Good. As it's also the truthful one, this works out well." He glanced around the room quickly to make sure no one was too close and kissed her lips lightly.

Willow grinned at the snuck kiss. "I have more surprises."

Peter raised an eyebrow. "Indeed?"

"Indeed," Willow replied, with an English accent that was uniquely her own. Also possibly not actually English. In her normal voice she said, "Will you be free sometime this week during the evening hours, Sir Peter?"

"For you?" Peter asked. "Anytime."

Well now she was with the big smile again. "We could, if you wanted, do a thing. That I'd like to do. With you."

"Would this include a birthday party for someone that I heard missed one?" Peter asked with a grin. "I'd like to do that. With you." He tilted his head. "Wednesday is Midsummer, you know. It's a holiday."

"Oh, did you have plans already?" Willow asked, looking worried. "I know you wanted to do something. I don't mean to step on any midsummer toes."

"No, I was suggesting it as a possibility," Peter said. "Badly though obviously."

"If there's no plans and you wanted to do something that might in some way be thought of as a celebration then I might have something that fits the bill," Willow said. "We could do Wednesday. That should give me just enough time to finish getting ready."

"For you to finish getting what ready?" Peter asked. Because he really couldn't help himself.

"Surprises," Willow said, tilting her chin up smugly.

"Very well then," Peter said. "Two can play at this game."

"You have surprises for me?" Willow asked.

"If I told you, it wouldn't be a surprise, now would it?" Peter teased.

Willow pouted.

Peter ruffled her hair.

Willow giggled. "No fair."

She reached over to ruffle his in return.

Peter watched as it fell over his eyes. "I feel like a sheep dog now," he said, shaking it back.

He grinned at her. "And it was totally fair."

"I think you'd make a very cute sheepdog," Willow said. She started brushing his hair back into his eyes again to help complete the look.

Peter let her arrange his hair as she liked with mock-exasperation. "Ought I go herd now?"

Willow snickered. "We'll have to find you some sheep. Nice ones, that won't make fun of your hair."

"I won't blame them for thinking strange things about my hair," Peter said, starting to laugh. "And I doubt we'll find talking sheep here, so I may be all set."

"I won't have you mocked by sheep," Willow told him, still playing with his hair. "Or anyone else for that matter. Though this is Fandom. Talking sheep are not out of the realm of possibility. Actually I should stop saying that you're a sheepdog too. You might turn into one like Bridge when he was a ferret."
