Third floor commoon room, Thursday night

Peter felt the need to actually get out of his room and be around people, so he marched himself down the hall to the common room. He turned the television to something random. It turned out to be something about people dancing. It was strangely hypnotic and he couldn't quite bring himself to turn it off.

He also couldn't quite explain why he made popcorn during the first commercial break.

Tyler vaulted over the end of the couch and took a seat. "What are we watching?"

"Something about people dancing," Peter said. "I can't bring myself to turn it off."

Tyler watched the screen, on which a fat kid was either having a seizure or attempting a hip-hop tango.

"I love that public humiliation is anaccepted form of entertainment."

"Woot, bad dancing."

"Hey, Tim," Peter said. "You're a fan of the televised loss of personal dignity I take it?"

"On occaision." Tim said. "I'm sure I'm no better, but at least I don't go on TV to advertise it. They're asking to be mocked. Almost literally."

Tyler nodded. "Hey, Tim."

"Hey Tyler, how are ya?" tim had heard the stuff on the radio, but mun don't remember if they got specific decided that as curious as he was, he wasn't going to bring it up.

Peter looked into the Common Room. "Are they meaning to dance that badly? Or is it a joke?"

"Some of them might be doing deliberately I suppose." Tim said. "I think most of them actually think they're good."

Peter raised an eyebrow. "I suppose if we're comparing them to say toddlers, they might be good."

"Hey, Peter," Peter said. "They're meaning to dance that well. And, yes, it's a joke at their expense."

"Evening, Peter," Peter replied with a grin. "Well? Good heavens. The joke is most certainly on them." Peter sat on a couch and watched in amused fascination. "He's not even on beat."

Tyler waved. "Hey, English. I think they just mean to get on TV, mostly."

Peter waved back. "Evening, Tyler. And I can't see how getting on television would be a benefit if everyone's just going to laugh at one."

Zack wandered into the the common room. "Evening. Why are we watching a special on surviving with epilepsy?"

Peter waved. "Evening, Zack. Apparently they think they're dancing."

Zack tilted his head at the television. "You're kidding me, right?"

"Hey, Zack," Peter said. "We're watching it because it's summer and there's nothing else on."

"Not even Bitterwoman?" Zack asked. "At least they could blame the fact it was the seventies."

Cordelia spotted Zack and waved to him.

"Hey, Zack! How did your photography project go?"

Cordelia wandered up to the third floor common room and threw herself into an armchair.

"Evening, gentlemen," she said with a wave.

"Who, us?" Tim smirked. "Good lord I don't think I've met you yet."
